Wow! I never heard of this. What a crappy way to go.

 

It makes you wonder about the saftey of the T-shirt cannons and other antics at sporting events...

I was not aware of this incident.

 

Some things seem so obviously unsafe in retrospect.

 

You wonder if there's similar stuff going on now that future Brewerfan.net posters will find equally headscratch-worthy.

 

 

And there were only 45,000 at the Jets game. . .

Weird how you go this long without hearing about something like that yet the persons sitting in the vicinity of the guy are probably scarred for life.

I think in another 10-20 years, people will look back that way on professional wrestling, and the steroid/drug use associated with it.

I think the game was a Shea for some reason.

The Jets played at Shea as their home stadium until 1984. They started at the Polo Grounds, and moved to Shea during the early to mid sixties.
