I was not doing the camp out just to get on TV all though it was pretty cool.

I was doing it because in years past my group of of about 8 -10 people would go on ebay and buy are opening day tickets which were 60-70 dollars per person for not that great terrace reserve seats. Why should I pay someone way over the price on the ticket just to see one game?

This year we were able to by 16 tickets 12 for opening day and 4 for the last home game and we paid $100 less than last years opening day tickets for 8 people.

I think with all the new friends we made in line who are die hard Brewer fans like myself and my friends all the free stuff they handed out to us on Saturday t-shirts bobbleheads nesting dolls etc... and the face value of the tickets totally made up for the three days in the cold.

For anyone else interested I called the Brewers ticket office and they told me that tickets for the Royals games would go on sale to the general public at the start of March. But did not specify which day.

I enjoyed reading your report Zachlaka. I don't want to sound like I begrudge anyone for camping out. Like you said, it was more than just the tickets. And lord knows I've stood in line for hours for things that other people wouldn't stand in line two minutes for.

Oh I know I none taken gypcasino.

If all I got out of it was tickets and everyone had kept to themselves I really might have just paid the ebay price again and stayed home. But after seen some youtube videos of people camping out and having a blast I thought it would be alot of fun.

Zachlaka, you sir are my idol! Thanks for the great recap, I wanted to get down there this year but work was a calling. Looks like it is time to call a broker, since all of the bars are already sold out.

One thing I found last year, was that at some point about one or two weeks before Opening Day, the Brewers would release some tickets from packages that they didn't sell, and there would be a few tickets available. A good idea is to check the website just in case they throw them out there.

Yep, they will release tickets from unsold groups and season ticket packages at some point...though they often offer them to season ticket holders first. I'd just check the website several times a day...that's your best bet.

I wouldn't call a broker. I'd buy tickets on the day of the game from a scalper. The prices will still be pretty high but they'll be cheaper than the current broker prices.

I got my Royals tix this morning right away at 9 am and got section 126 row 1 for each day!! It might be from playing thirdbase for years, but I would rather sit there than right behind home plate.
Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though
