I don't think it was a coincidence that UW went on a 16-4 run after the no call flagrant. Bo's always been able to rally the team and a no-call on a literal slap in the face may have been exactly what the guys needed.

Brew crew--keep fighting the good fight man and as hard as it is, keep listening to the docs. What your going through takes a ton of energy and support from the rest of your body and it's very easy to over do things. Thanks for posting your story here as well. The more people hear about these kind of issues, the less likely they are to "power through" issues on their own. Sometimes a visit to the doc can really save your life.

Coming from an HR manager who's done about a thousand interviews, bringing notes is a great signal to start with. Shows you are prepared and care enough to be a serious contender. Some of the best candidates I have ever sat down with had notes and questions prepared ahead of time and several of them left my office with a job offer on the table. The interviews I dread are with people who just don't even seem to want to be there. It's so painful to try and pry information out of someone who only gives two or three word answers.

I had never heard of the "trunk or treat" until this year. A local church was doing it and the idea seems really logical to me, I just never knew it was even a thing.

The stat that I couldn't believe after that game was that Lester hasn't thrown over to first base since April of 2013! I though Garza had the yips throwing to bases but to go two full seasons basically without trying to keep runners close by throwing over is absolutely insane to me.

Trying to complete a project for my son's nursery using the baseballs to make a shelving unit. Certainly don't need autograph grade ROMLB's but would like to include a mixture of balls in various conditions. Looking for at least a dozen and up to three dozen if I can find them for the right price. Found a selection on Ebay for $2-$4/ball but thought I'd check here first to see if anyone was looking to clean out their garages or if someone had a bunch of bad autographed balls lying around that they wanted to get rid of. Even if you don't have any balls to unload but know someone that was a former coach or someone looking to get rid of some used lesser quality balls, I'd appreciate the contact info. Thanks

Just reported on MLB network. Looks like it was for Joe Kelley and Allan Craig. Lackey going there is virtually the same as Masterson in my eyes. Innings eaters but not game changers. edit--added details. Happy to see them give those two up for Lackey.

Just reported that the A's now traded Tommy Milone to the Twins for a platoon partner for Gomes. Beanne is really going for it this year edit--looks like the player going to the A's from Minnesota will be Sam Fuld. looks like a good trade for the Twins to me

Just turned the game on (tv at least) and wanted to say that I really like these uni tops. I agree with an earlier poster that the gold underarm isn't great and it makes them look like spring training jerseys but overall they are sharp. As far as the actual game goes, I can't believe this team can get much more frustrating right now. They were overachieving early in the season, but the level that they are underachieving now is even more remarkable.

Better off Ted was a fantastic show. It's a shame it was called off after only 2 seasons.

Great game and I for one am happy to see Ron make the decision to go with K-Rod. Maybe he has turned over a new leaf and won't do everything by the book this season. If there is something that they aren't happy with Henderson, don't bring him in and chance losing what was a very good looking game.

I eat gummi bears all the time at work, just keep them in my suit coat pockets and snack on them all day. I'm not sure I can ever trust when my employees give me bags of them ever again. I will forever be on the lookout for those sugarless ones.

I've never been a fan of drinking hard alcohol with soda, just never got to be a fan of it. I've got a lot of drinks that I prefer, but from your description I don't know if you'd be willing to drink them. Random question about not wanting your drinks to look fruity, is that a personal choice or do you just not think it looks cool to drink a fruity drink? My personal favorites Blackberry Brandy and RedBull--you would like that one I think, but RedBull is even worse than drinking the soda Summer Hummers--Lime vodka and lemonade sometimes with a splash of 7-Up--looks green though Rasberry or Grape vodka and lemonade Gin or Vodka and cranberry--choice of vodka usually doesn't matter, but make sure it is decent Gin if you lean that way Hard cider beers--really gaining in popularity these days, but if your not comfortable with the appearance of a fruity drink, this may not be an option for you
