Brewers Video
One of the unfortunate things about MLB and the postseason is that national-TV announcers get to make the calls that live with many of us when teams win a championship.
Radio, however, is where you can find that local tie. The same folks that take you through the 162-game regular season call the games in the postseason.
Thus, while it was Joe Davis on the call for FS1 as we all watched left fielder Jackson Chourio haul in the line drive by Enrique Hernandez off left-hander Aaron Ashby to end the Milwaukee Brewers' 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 4 of the NL Championship Series, there was Jeff Levering on the mic for Brewers Radio Network as history was made.
Here is Levering's call of the Brewers punching their ticket to the 2026 World Series:
And for a little nostalgia, here is what the legendary Bob Uecker sounded like back in 1982 as Pete Ladd delivered the final pitch of the AL Championship Series as the Brewers beat the California Angels. Rod Carew hit a grounder to shortstop Robin Yount, who threw to first baseman Cecil Cooper for the final out.
Now, will Levering have one more memorable call at the end of this year's World Series?
