    Just take notice at how much ball and glove logo merch is out. The Kohls by my house has probably 90% retro vs 10% new logo gear. Also, looking at the pics from the store in AZ, it looks like its all retro everything.

    I just watched the youtube highlights from his first start. I have the bat that he used to hit that homerun. I need to find a clearer video so I can get a photomatch. Its an Adam Dunn Bat that CC used, with the MLB hologram.

    I for one do NOT want Lucroy back. He was a bum. We made him the face of the franchise and he was quick to diss us to the media. Not to mention, some the the pitchers didnt like him at all. I am glad we granted his wished and sent him to a contender only for him to fail. Maybe he was humbled over the past year and realized he is not as great as he thought. But I wouldnt take that chance with the club that we have.

    I had to look him up as I have never heard of him. After reading the story I remembered I have a box of old pants from the 70's and one of them has the tag of Thomas. I just assumed they were Gorman's and that was it. Now I have to look a little closer and see if they are Dan's.

    I went for game used items. I think as a collector, we will be continued to be disappointed. Since Dave left there has been a decline overall. Prices are a little better, but I still dont get it. The Braun bat was marked down, but 150 for a base is crazy when during the year they had a sale where they were 50 bucks. Line up cards should not be 50 bucks either, and how helmets were 50 bucks which is a great deal.

    Unless they were the buyer on some of the items. They wouldn't disclose all of the items that they have purchased, but from what it sounds like its going to be impressive. Items that would both the causal fan and collector would remember vividly. Either way, I'm excited.

    So over the past few days I have been in discussion with the team about their game used items and getting more involved with the collectors. As it turns out, they are in the beginning stages of starting a memorabilia museum and are looking to acquire more items. Seeing as I have a pretty good relationship with them, they asked that I reach out to fellow collectors to see if they would be interested in selling/donating/loaning the team specialty or significant items to be displayed. For example, they recently obtained the Braun debut jersey for this exhibit. I personally am putting up my CC Sabathina Brewers home debut HR bat, and possibly a few other items. Ideally, they are looking for items from 1970-present. Anything with historical significance, milestone games, etc. Newer items would need to be authenticated.     Make is a priority to get it signed at some point. I am a HUGE Yount fan and have paid for his auto twice. Once on a Batman and Robin poster and the other time on a 82 championship champagne bottle. It was cool unsigned and even better signed. Its really more of an investment if you think about it.

    Does everyone here go for the bobbleheads or do we have some game used/worn collectors on this site as well? Having started off on bobbles and then moving up to jerserys, uniforms, bats, etc. I have a rather large collection. Now that I no longer have my man cave and dont forsee myself having one anytime soon, I will be cataloging everything and preparing to sell it off. Before I hit the auction sites, I thought I would check here. If anyone has a want list of is looking for something specific, please email me direct at mbasquez@hotmail.com. I have lots of various items, artwork, posters, yearbooks, locker tags, hats, helmets, jerseys, complete uniforms, pants, cleats, bats, seats, champagne bottles, ticket stubs from various work series and all star games, bobbles, starting lineups, etc. Any questions just ask.
