  1. I don’t know what quintanas issue is, but Woodruff going down was a game changer. Murphy is doing the best he can with what he has.
  2. I think the 52 hits they have this series is a new MLB record for hits in a 3 game series. This is a generational offense.
  3. How is Pratt progressing this year? What is his realistic upside? I would not want to include him in any trade unless brewers feel his ceiling is limited. If I am being honest, I might toss out a couple guys in the 11-15 range but not much else. I think the team can compete as they are currently constituted. Dont underestimate the defensive value the current players have.
  4. Yeah I agree. I don’t remember Nestor Cortes, Elvin Rodriguez, garret anderson or cooper Thomas logging a ton of innings for the 2024 Milwaukee brewers. This is just the team they assembled
  5. Look, the Brewers should be very concerned about their pitching staff for the season. This isn’t normal.
  6. I’m in NYC today for the game. Long shot question, anyone know where brewers stay on NYC?
  7. How would my team fare in the NL Central this year? I didn’t really consider guys still in their primes (Adames, etc) C - Charlie Moore 1B - Lyle Overbay 2b - Jim Gantner Ss - Jose Valentin 3b - Bill Hall LF - Johnny Briggs CF - Darryl Hamilton RF - Sixto Lezcano DH - Eric Thames SP - Pete Vukovich SP - Mike Caldwell SP - Moose Haas SP - Chris Bosio SP - Bill Wegman CL - John Axford
  8. How would they handle having Aaron Judge getting back to back at bats? Runners on second and third. Two out. Up 1 run. Walks Judge to load bases. Pitch to someone like Stanton. You then use Judge to bat again? Gosh this is stupid.
  9. The Cubs remaining schedule is among the lightest, easiest schedules you will see for the last 30 games of a season. Counsell excels in September I could see them winning 19 or 20 games yet.
  10. Is it possible Matt Arnold is okay with just being competitive this year, keeping these two and offering them the QO and taking the comp picks at the end of the year?
  11. I love Willy, I do. But he’s closer to Javy Baez at this point than the guy we traded for initially
  12. God I hate this offense. Every last one of them. There are no hitters on this team. It certainly is not the end-all be-all statistic, but back in the 80s and 90s when I was a kid thumbing through baseball card statistics, if you hit below .235 you were a bum.
  13. I would not trade Turang or Kelly for Bell. Especially Kelly. I personally think something like Joe Gray Jr and Victor Castaneda would be about right. Maybe a third in that neighborhood.

  15. Two moments in the mid 2000s standout to me. One is the foul ball HR a young Corey Hart hit in his first and only AB in 2004. The other was the Saenz game. Both played one game that year. Saenz was magical and never came back, Hart struck out on what could have been an equally magical appearance. And then their careers went in absolute opposite directions. Thanks for the article.
