  1. Why would the RedSox trade Ellsbury when they already traded CoCo?
  2. I hope you're not including my softball team
  3. My bet would be Turnbow and Mench for Liebel with the Phillies...I still believe if there was a trade involving Mench straight up for a starting pitcher it would be done since Arbitration is on tues. and we have to do something.....Wouldn't it be great if it was Jenkins for Penny, since the word is Penny has lost trade value since is blowup at the coaching staff in LA, Melvin could be contiplating if the Brewers would take up his salary and attitude..If the deal is Mench/Jenkins for Lopez, Melvin's only excuse for delaying is to see what we write on this board about his comments....
  4. The Brewers are believed to have a deal in place that would send outfielder Kevin Mench to Baltimore for right-hander Rodrigo Lopez in the event the Orioles fail to sign free-agent outfielder Luis Gonzalez. maybe the deal was all media driven
  5. The Brewers are believed to have a deal in place that would send outfielder Kevin Mench to Baltimore for right-hander Rodrigo Lopez in the event the Orioles fail to sign free-agent outfielder Luis Gonzalez. and.. Graffy signed the arbitration from the MJS thank god I'd rather see Lopez than Lieber anyday......
  6. how much of this Jenkins talk is there if they sign Gonzalez....I would believe that this deal is going to the Orioles when the Gonzalez deal is done with the Dodgers
  7. The more I think about this the more I'd be willing to trade for Burrell (if we get rid of Jenkins) The problem I see is that I don't like lieber, not because of age or talent, because we get him for one year....I'd rather make a play for a pitcher that is available for more than that since obviously the Brewers will never be able to compete for a pitcher in the open market....
  8. I would think Burrell also, but the Brewers wanted more speed this offseason, would they choose to stay with the idea of Rowand (granted I watched him with the Sox and don't remember if he was a stolen base type)
  9. I like the idea of Rowand as a brewer and even lieber, but do you really expect Turnbow and Munch to be enough...the only thing I see going for us is Rowand and lieber are only one year players while the Brewers are exchanging players with multiple years left on their services. Here I was starting to worry nothing will happen this week, but things might get interesting. Maybe this should be another thread, but who would u want Rowand or Burrell?
  10. Being a brewer fan first and a Dodger fan second (they used to be my NL team until the Brewers switched leagues) I would presume we need to give up more for Penny but Yo is too much. I would maybe think Hendrickson might get it done due to his domination in AAA (even though his effectiveness is not there yet in the majors) That being said I love to have Penny on this roster as a 4 or 5 so maybe I would include a possability of a reliever in Turnbow in stead because relief pitching is what the Dodgers truely need if they want to win their division. thanks first post probably not the last..
