Bill is still arby eligible, so if the Brewers decline the team option (like they did last year), they would still retain his rights and they would just follow the normal arby rules. Not sure Bill would get $14.5M in arby next year.
I'm not sure I care. Lara and Lockridge are pretty much redundant this year. Its really a matter of who we think will perform best the rest of the season. I think I'll give Sal and Lockridge a slight edge so that means Lara goes down but its really a toss up to me.
His baserunning is very under rated. If he gets sent home on a close play, I feel confident that he will be safe. He is faster than he looks and makes good decisions on the bases.
I'm also good with him being offered the QO. If he accepts we could trade Vaughn (to offset QO salary) and use Luke Adams as depth. If he doesn't accept we could keep Vaughn and use Adams or Burke as depth (or Fischer).
Agreed. Brady that high is a bit of a surprise. Other surprises are jose Rodriguez at 22 and brailyn antunez at 30. I would have swapped those two.also, no 2026 draft pick was slotted higher than 17. I can't remember a deeper system we have had.
I'd be happy if they give him a minor league contract. However, he's lost a couple miles on his heater since when he was last successful so worried he may be washed up.
Insurance in case they could not get any RP at the deadline. That's the only thing that makes sense to me. This was really a Yoho for Naylor trade. I doubt Perkins had much trade value. Likely was a DFA candidate.
