  1. Now -this- is playoff baseball. No catastrophes, good pitches, good hits, some (a little) defense. keep bringing it.
  2. I don't care if RR does not like to walk guys intentionally. Don't be a moron. IBB
  3. Nobody is going to believe me, but I had said we could get to Carpenter today. I actually called for a win. I didn't foresee such an implosion of a first inning by Milwaukee. I thought maybe 3-4 runs for the cards over the game. Let's hope they are done scoring and we have a couple left in the bats. I'm feeling ok right now about this game and honestly, if we lose, I think it would be an ok loss. If there is such a thing, I'd see it as a catapult for the crew. Jibberish talk maybe, but it makes sense to me.
  4. That would be mean-spirited. Besides, I'd rather see Pujols fall into the dugout and bash TLR's head in That actually had me laughing out loud.
  5. The results on the field in anygame do not matter in terms of whether or not a managerial decision was a good one. The fact is playing Kotsay in center field will more often than not be worse for the team than our other 2 options. That is the issue most people have. I dig it. I wasn't really referring to Kotsay. I was mostly speaking of my general reactions to just about everything. All of it combined made my head go a bit wacko and I assumed the entire game would be a disaster. I should have calmed down a little and realized the game would calm and I would too. Gotta work on that a bit. Really. I kinda lost it there.
  6. Did anyone else wanna see Halliday and Furcal collide and bash eachother's heads in?
  7. Good. Let him go play a ton of day games and then have the fans and media of chicago turn on him as quickly as they do. Then, when he comes here he can get booed by 40,000 people that watched him come up, cheered him, and loved him as a team mate. I can't help it if he leaves but if he comes back in another uniform, I certainly don't have to give him a big sloppy kiss and welcome him back.
  8. If nothing else, this game to this point has taught me to calm the heck down. I'm a smarter baseball fan than to be so reactionary. Most of us are. It's tough not to get hyped up sometimes, and since being in the NLCS is new to me I'm going to learn a bit about patience in these games. That said, Yadier Molina looks like a girl!
  9. Putting Kotsay in was total genius. Greatest move ever. I knew he was the bomb.
  10. Can someone educate me as to why they pitched to pujols with nobody on right there? If he does not hit a dinger, he puts himself into scoring position with a double. Can't ya just walk him? Honest. This is not sarcasm.
  11. Nice little comeback here. Few runs, feel better, yer gonna need to step up the defense though. BIG TIME and from recent games, this won't be easy.
  12. Wow. This is absolutely devastating. I can't even see how Gallardo would be at fault here. This nightmare goes to RR for putting Kotsay in CF, RR for batting Kotsay second Kotsay for cleaning the basepath with his face Kotsay for being in CF Hart for being himself and catching fewer flyballs this series than I have RR for still being in the dugout total rant, I know. i still feel no better
