  1. From McCalvy's Twitter: Now who gets the 9th?
  2. Has anyone tried streaming the MLB.tv broadcast through the PS3's web browser? I just got one over the winter, and I was hoping I'd be able to use it for ballgames instead of hooking my laptop up to the TV every time a game is on.
  3. Yeah, the sample size against each pitcher is small, but thats not what the study was about. It was who was most devastating against the best pitchers of the game - collectively. Braun takes the cake as far as anyone else goes, and if anyone has any qualms about it, it should be about why he is any less of a tyrant against below superstar status pitching.
  4. I went to that horrendous series last year in full gear and the fans were actually pretty decent to me. I even got a couple "don't worry man, you guys got a good team" comments as I left the park with my tail between my legs. From my experience they are much harder on their own team than the opposition.
  5. Yes, I have to agree. It has to be Geno's. Outstanding cheesesteaks - just make sure you get your order right. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  6. I'll be heading out to my first games of the year this weekend too. I can't wait to see the new park! I got tickets for tonight and Sunday, and while I'm glad Suppan got pushed back a bit, I was really hoping I'd catch Gallardo on Sunday. Oh well, I guess I'll settle for watching him battle Santana Saturday on SNY. Weather looks great. Here's hoping for a solid outing from Bush tonight and Prince and Braun's bats to wake up! Go Crew!
  7. I went ahead and scheduled the plumber to come in and fix my sink today so I'd have an excuse to leave work early. He'll be showing up anytime between 2pm and 6pm. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. I'm making the drive to Philly from NY in a bit. I'll be there for the next three - really hoping we get tonight in.
  9. OK, I gotta chime in here. Best hands down (next to my Grandfather's home smoked) has got to be from the Holmen Meat Locker. I just discovered they have a website - and I now I have to go order some thanks to this thread... Link.
  10. I saw a few of them while I was out over the weekend and had to wonder if it had ever crossed their minds how bad the stickers and graffiti would accumulate on them while sitting on the streets of NYC for a week. I hope they end up cleaning them and touching them up a bit before they are sold. Or maybe the idea is to just sell them "as is" with a little NY "flavor" on them...
  11. I'd give the St. Mark's Hotel a shot. It's right next to the 6 train in the East Village. Trains won't be so packed getting on there, and the rates are pretty reasonable for Manhattan. Lots of fun to be had in the Village too... Plenty of great bars and restaurants. It's also not to hard to get to the 7 train from there as well - the NW line a couple blocks away will take you to Queensboro Plaza where you can jump on the 7 to Shea.
  12. I'll be there too... all three games. I hope we get better weather than they are predicting.
  13. www.toytokyo.com I get to play with toys all day. Free booze at our gallery shows just about every month, plus the occasional run in with celebrity types. Usually get about around 20 days vacation a year too. Collaborating with artists on new toy projects is neat too. Best perk of all: Job Security.
  14. I can't believe I just watched Shouse mow through 6 consecutive... wow.
  15. What a crapshoot. Time to go try and drink it off...
