  1. What was it that Mike Cameron was suspended for 25 games for a few years back? Was that a "banned substance" or "stimulant" similar to what the latest on Braun is?
  2. Does anyone else wonder how/if the news on Braun affects the negotiations with Ramirez and his desire to come to Milwaukee??
  3. I don't know if I would go that far. To me, he's making sure he presents all sides of the story. He probably is a little frustrated by all the comments (like many on here as well) that rush to judgement on Braun's guilt/innocence in the whole matter.
  4. Well, it's on channel 445 after all. DISH would have had some angry phone calls had they not taken care of that. Crisis averted. GO BREWERS!!
  5. I'm being told by DISH that the game has been blacked out! Anyone else have any issues with this today??
  6. Does anyone know which channel today's game will be on DISH network?? None of their alternate channels seem to work for me!! (I'm in the Milwaukee area)
  7. Did anyone else read through the MLB predictions on ESPN.com today? Besides being very Red Sox heavy, which can't really be taken for a surprise, it was interesting to see what other opinions were out there. 10 of the writers picked the Brewers (out of 45) picked the Brewers to make the playoffs, including Johan Keri, from FanGraphs.com, who has the Brewers losing to the Red Sox in the World Series. Still not the most interesting pick, though: Steve Berthiaume picks the Astros to win the NL Central! I hope he's got some $$ on that pick, because the odds have got to be long on it!
  8. Adrian Gonzalez is being traded to Boston Well, you guys tell me...if this actually goes through, I think this just about clinches the fact that Prince will start the 2011 season as a Brewer. I always thought Boston was the leading candidate to end up landing Prince, so does this actually help the Brewers chances of signing him long-term? (Moderator note: I edited the topic title to make it clear that this is Major League forum material rather than a transaction rumor. --1992casey)
  9. There are rumors starting to float out there about the D-Backs possibly dealing Dan Haren (he's under contract for the next 3 years for ~$40 million). If the Brewers decide it's time to move Prince, would a deal involving Haren make sense?
  10. My water softener just took a dump and it looks like I will need to replace one. I have a Culligan man coming early next week, but I wanted to see if anyone else had to replace one recently or is in the biz and would be able to give me an idea about costs/features I should be looking for. I've owned my house for 5+ years now, and inherited this softener, so I've never had to shop for one.Any words of wisdom??Thanks in advance!
  11. Thanks! I just found it. Sorry for not digging farther. Feel free to lock/delete if needed.
  12. I don't know if this belongs in another thread, so feel free to move if necessary. Has anyone else with Dish Network noticed that not "all games are in HD this year" as promised by FS-Wisconsin? I've tried to get answers from Dish, but I just get the run-around and it's really starting to upset me. Anyone else have similar/different experiences to share? Any ideas out there?
  13. What's the consensus on this deal? Low-risk, high-reward? Does he factor more into the rotation or a possible bullpen guy? Brewers sign Halama
  14. That is ridiculous! I missed that the other night. Later that inning, Blake hits a 3-run homer, when he never should have even batted. Unbelievable! At least the Braves were able to come back and win the game. When are the umpires finally going to be held accountable for these atrocious mistakes??
  15. Wow, thanks! I obviously didn't do a great job searching the forum for an answer. Thanks again.
