  1. Are you an experienced boater? Lake Michigan never really seemed like a good practice lake. A better beginners entry to socializing on water with friends might be a pontoon boat. Also the sticker price is one thing, but maintenance costs and time for boats that size in WI are another. The popular phrase is - "the two best days in a boat owner's life are the day he buys it... and the day he sells it."
  2. I have no jerseys, but I have a couple of hockey sweaters. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. This is from the cbs.sportsline game center game blog: "Their are a couple bright spots to the Astros play; that of Luke Scoot and Craig Biggio. Scott is comming of a two homerun performance on Tuesday; and Biggio has inched ever so closely to the 3,000 hit club as he stands on 2,997. The Astros look to those two guys to lead them to victory." wow. so many errors, so little time.
  4. yeah, that's no fun anymore. 6 straight hits will get you back in a game in a hurry. Way to leave in a pitcher who's obviously got nothing today! Is it me, or has Padilla gotten worse every year he's been in the majors. He's the guy that wouldn't go back out to pitch in the ASG, causing Bud to call the tie, correct?
  5. Not to mention RISP with less than two outs in all three innings. Cubbie misery makes off-days bearable.
  6. Why stop at the guy in the Geo who stalled his car? The driver who cut off the guy in the stalled Geo should be sued as well. Not to mention the grandparents of the tow truck driver, anyone who's ever owned a bar and finally that butterfly in China who started all this.
  7. word of caution to any Brewer fans logging in at the office, the home page of the "Dodger Blues" web site is pretty close to NSFW. (pretty close to funny as well)
  8. Another outstanding set of pictures for the pitching matchups... I lol'd. wOOgiE's on a roll.
  9. My favorite part is always the picture of the Brewer pitcher looking triumphant versus the opposing dude looking bewildered/frustrated.
  10. Pretty weak episode. I thought the gambling thing was very contrived. They're going for the theme of setting up different characters in situations where that person has serious reason to think Tony's about to whack them but then doesn't - first Bobby, then Paulie, now Hesh. I imagine Chrissy and Sivio will get their turns, along with maybe Melfi and AJ?
  11. A little history: "The Astros (9-12) are 20-5 against the Brewers (13-8 ) in Houston over the past three-plus seasons, never losing back-to-back games in that span. Milwaukee has never won any of the 17 series it has played at Minute Maid Park since the venue opened in the 2000 season." They may be tired and beat up, but coming home is usually a boost. And given their extensive success over the crew at home, I'm not too optimistic.
