First game of the year for me, hopefully Bushy can lock them down and we can get the bats going. -
Watching RJ Swindle pitch makes me want to throw something at my TV.

Having to trot out Mike Burns and CV for more starts is rather depressing. Its tough enough watching Manny struggle with his command and Looper get shelled, but then adding those two on top of it just stinks. Thank God for Yo. It should be pretty evident to Doug that he left this team way short on pitching, both in the starting rotation and in the bullpen. And to be honest, after all the love he has gotten in the past, he deserves a little chiding for the pitching staff he assembled this year. That said, I trust he will be very proactive in addressing these needs in the off-season. -
Laughable. For all the love that Melvin gets, he should be blasted for trotting out the pitching staff we have this year. Its a complete and utter joke.

I know he had the two run shot, but it really sucks watching Corey swing at pitches a couple feet off the plate and in the dirt. Its getting very old.

Bingo. I understand the cool demeanor he's had so far, but come on. Get out there and protect your players Ken. Show some aggression.

Hall - Given his contract, unless we took some of it on, probably less to nothing.Hardy and Hart - IMO people are seriously overreacting to their current situation. Sure neither have been playing well, but Hart has a 20/20 season under his belt and Hardy has hit for power and average at a position where very few do. Give them some time, I think both will be fine. Our pitching scares me much much much more than our hitting does.

This team is really scuffling. Something needs to change and change very quickly. Thankfully the NL Central has been tanking along with us so we are still in good shape, but one has to think that is going to change sooner rather than later.

We really need to get after West...he's a lefty and primarily a fastball pitcher. That should equal good things for the Crew.

Good deal for the Crew. TGJ deserves a shot to play too so it works out for all sides. That said, what's the over/under on Tony hitting the ball to the wall on the fly in Petco Park? My guess is 2 and I feel I am being generous.

Cardinals TV announcer calls Brewers disrespectful

It's hilarious that the Cardinals of all teams think they have some sort of moral high ground. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Yadir Molina started undressing at home plate after getting thrown out of a game last year at Miller Park. On top of that, add in some La Russa's antics and the Cardinals are far from perfect. -
Personally I feel that a handshake is all that is needed to get the ball back. To the HY, the ball is just another item/collectible, but to Coghlan it is something that is very personal. While professionals are not perfect, they put in a lot of time and effort to get to where they are...I think its only fair to let them have the ball as a mile marker for their career. As for ball hawking in general, to each his own. I personally don't understand it, but if its not hurting anyone, then whatever. I think its more the HY interactions with the Marlins that have him in the wrong here, not necessarily his ball hawking habit.

Great outing by Bushie today, eventually he is going to get that no hitter. Hopefully its with us. As for BA, I think he has certainly gotten better since his arrival, but still leaves something to be desired. It goes well beyond what was said today and what he said during Bush's attempt against Toronto.

Went to the Saturday night game last year and sat in the LF bleachers, would highly recommend sitting there. Our group had an absolute blast. Planning on going back this year over the Memorial Day weekend for at least the Saturday game and possibly the Sunday game.

Couple of great places in my mind... Heggarty's on Marquette's campus if its 25 cent wing night, BBC on North, Sobelmann's, and McGinn's on Bluemound all come to mind. My personal favorite though, turning on Bob and Jim while grilling out. There's nothing better...

Grew up in Milwaukee and played Tosa League baseball. Dad would always take my sister, brother, and I to games. Paul Molitor sealed the deal for me...was always captivated whenever I watched him play. Lost some interest during the strike, but it came back once Miller Park was built. Now I try to get to at least 20 or so games every year.

I agree, it was a special season. It may not have ended the exact way we wanted it to, but we still got to witness some pretty amazing moments. My personal favorites were CC's first start and the playoff victory last night. Both of those nights were absolutely electric. Thanks for the fun crew, look forward to more next year!
