  1. We have some real question marks in RF and CF. What do the Brewers do if Gomez is hitting just above .200 in June. Who plays CF then? What happens is Mr. Hart doesn't hit again. What is our back up plan? Just getting back into baseball season mode just wondering if someone was signed. I know we don't have anyone ready to take over in AAA. Just hoping someone can catch me up a little.
  2. Wow this trade suprises me.I would have thought that Milledge would have been a big part in whatever trade the Mets will make for a starter. It gives you some idea of the value the rest of the league has for Milledge.
  3. I think in the rumor section of yahoo I heard the Dodgers were also offering a package of Loney, Billingsly, and Kemp for M. Cabrea.
  4. Todd Jones gets one year 7 million. Wow thats a liitle high for a very avg. pitcher ,well I guess he's a somewhat proven closer. He'll be 40 years old when the season starts, never really thought that much of him.Wonder if CoCo will get 4 years 50 million?
  5. I still feel sick all over
  6. I feel sick all over
  7. Matt Wise 9.50 era last 15 app. The worst of what was about 4 awful moves. COME ON NED
  8. Dear beloved Brewers, Its been a great 29 years we had some good times and some bad.I know you never mean to hurt me ,but in the end it always seems like I'm the one who ends up crying. I've been thinking about it and its you not me.Ive been there for you almost everyday(except for games in Colorada ,San Fran, and Arizona in which for some reason they black out in Vegas). You always get my hopes only to have them come crashing down in the end.I cant do this anymore. I still love you but i have to start thinking of myself.I'm sorry it just hurts to much to be with you.I Can't lie lately I've been switching channels and watching a little bit of the Dodgers and James Loney I dont know where its going to go ,but I know I'm just not happy with you anymore. Love Always, VegasBrewerFan
  9. Heres a guy who if I'm not mistaking drove in 100 runs a couple years ago.Good enough reason to take a shot.
  10. Do you think the brewers need to add another starting pitcher before the deadline?I fear when we do finally get Sheets back we may be looking up at the Cubs, maybe even way up.Our starters with the exception of Yo and Vargas are just not getting it done.I know Vargas just went 8 innings the other night ,but hes a 5,6 inning guy,and for the most part all of our starters are.Our bullpen is feeling and looking a little run down.As a result they haven't been very good as of late.I don't think we can WIN the Central if we stand pat.The Cubs have 4 very good starters and one workhorse in Carlos. One suggestion is maybe Jose Contreras from the sox.I know I know hes been awful this year , but maybe a change of teams and more importantly leagues is just what he needs.Hes a inning eater and has a proven track record.I think he could be had for almost nothing maybe a Lance nix and a low level prospect.Just some thoughts .Like to see we everybody else thinks.
  11. I WOULD BE SHOCKED if the Reds have won 82 games in a row after 8 innings just SHOCKED.
  12. Let me first start off by saying Im not a huge Ned Yost fan,but I'm getting better.I have no idea why when we have runnners on first and third he likes to run that little league play where he sends the guy on first and he stops gets in a run down so the guy can score from third.I agree there are some times to try this late in a game down bye one run with some speed on the base pads with two outs. With Mench on third an Prince on first, one out with Jenks at the plate.DOWN BYE TWO RUNS WITH ONE OUT COME ON NED! There I'm better now. Now to tonights line up. I never thought I would ever see Counsell,Weeks,Graffy,Miller,Mench and Hall who hasnt seen major league pitching in about a month in the same line up.Just seems like with Soup( whos .ERA is about 7.00 since may 10th) on the mound the brewers could use a little offense out there. Just seems Mr. Ned Yost didn't give the Brewers the best chance to win tonight. Sorry if this should be in vent thread kind of a tweener .It did'nt start off in my head as a vent thread ,but after reading it I guess it kinda got there.
  13. Otsuka....... Wow i hadnt herd that rumor.Yea doug get it done.
  14. I had a dream last night that the Brewers traded for Brian Fuentes. It was one of those dreams that when you wake-up, for the first 30 seconds or so you thinks it?s real. I remember how good it felt thinking the Brewers had a quality lefty in the bullpen, but it was just that, a dream. So back to reality, which this year sure isn?t a bad thing. Brewers in first place, 7.5 games ahead and are looking like the best team in the Central. No, it?s not too early to say, THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS ARE FOR REAL! With the trade deadline thirty days away, do you think the Brewers need to add a quality lefty reliever? I personally would love to see it. Here?s a list of some lefties that I think could help the Brewers: 5 Star C.J. Wilson, Texas?I?d love to see this guy in a Brewer uniform, but he might be too young, too talented and too affordable for the Rangers to part with. George Sherrill, Seattle?Hard thrower, with great control. I don?t see anyone catching the Angels?could this guy possibly become available? I doubt it. 4 Star Damso Marte, Pittsburgh?Another hard-throwing veteran lefty. Has more than a strikeout per inning, and lefty batters are hitting only .108 against. Scott Downs, Toronto?Young lefty with great stuff. His walks are pretty high, but lefties are hitting .130 against. 3 Star Jeremy Affeldt, Colorado? Here?s a guy that looks like he?s figured it out since coming over from KC and moving to the bullpen. Aaron Fultz, Cleveland? He?s having a career year with a 2.04 ERA. But the Indians are probably buyers and not sellers. Allen Embree, Oakland?Another veteran having a good year. He?s taken over the closer role while Houston Street is injured. Lefties are hitting around .300 against him though. 2 Star Wilfredo Ledezma, Atlanta?Oh, that?s right?the Braves already stole him. Jimmy Gobble, Kansas City? He?s got a nice arm with some upside. But he?s probably a year or two away from being a quality loogy. Jamie Walker, Baltimore?Another consistent veteran lefty. You?ll know what you?re gonna get with this guy. 1 Star Mike Stanton, Cincy? The 83-year-old lefty doesn?t have much left, but oh wait, we already have him. His name is Brian Shouse.
