  1. Foster Brooks wasn't a character, that was his name. His shtick was portraying a drunk. Cliff Arquette portrayed Charlie Weaver.
  2. Her movies were staples on TV in the 50s and 60s, particularly on Sunday afternoons. I'm sure I saw every one at some point. Remember there were only 3-5 channels depending on where you lived. Because of that she was probably still considered as big a star then as when the movies first played in the theatres.
  3. Not mentioned in this thread but Dave Madden, Laugh-In and Partridge Family, passed today also at 82.
  4. Speaking of Alan Young(94) (Mr. Ed), here's an interview with him primarily about knowing Marilyn Monroe before she was famous. He looks great for 94. http://celebrity.yahoo.com/video/yo-marilyn-monroes-mister-ed-003454063.html
  5. One of my favorite shows ever was St. Elsewhere in the '80s. Norman Lloyd(99) played Dr. Auschlander, one of the 3 "elder statesmen" doctors on the show. He was something of a protégé of Alfred Hitchcock appearing in a number of his movies, appearing in a number of Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes and directing and producing many of the Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes.
  6. Charlotte Rae was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Shorewood HS. Al Molinaro was born in Kenosha and lived there into his 30s.
