  1. from Twitter: Haudricourt Tom #[/s]Brewers closer John Axford, who was hit on forearm by liner on last play, was wearing compression sleeve but said he was OK. Just bruised. 5minutes ago (8:10PM)
  2. I like it with the Brewers montage, which is by far the best one, but it's ridiculously overplayed.TBS never overplays promos. Sincerely, FrankTV
  3. I'm not worried about "pressure" with this team. If anything, they play better when the heat is on. (game 1 of this series, for example). The 2-0 lead allowed them the luxury of an off night. Well, they looked it...offense, defense, and pitching. Pressure mounts on AZ just as much every time they win, too.
  4. My point was that a 95 win team is not going to be an easy out.
  5. can't say I'm shocked. We're not going to sweep every series. AZ got every break in this game and things were going their way.... before the 5 run outburst. Diamondbacks won 95 games, can't be too surprised they showed some life at home. Rays came back 7 down last week. never say never.
  6. This is irrational thinking and needs to be thrown out. You only think that way because you watched the outcome in this order. If, while you were eating breakfast this morning, you were told that the Dbacks and the Crew would both win tonight in dramatic fashion.... would you have decide to "stop watching" baseball?? child, please. Brewers are in control of their own fate. The same one that put them in position to have a dodger meltdown affect them. go Brewers!
  7. As much as tonight is a stomach punch game.....sometimes you lose a 1 run game on the road against good teams no matter what. Not every result is an indicator of how "something needs to change." This team is trending upward.
  8. remember the NL scout who said: "the Brewers could be terrible"..? maybe he was right.
  9. The organization that brought us Joaquin Andujar shall have no say on the following: 1. Unwritten rules of the game 2. Class 3. Disrespecting your opponent. End of Story.
  10. No way. Not even close. Even a near miss is a bigger story. The Packers are number one no doubt in coverage... but come on. The Crew is under the microscope for better or worse this weekend. Go Brewers.
  11. The Anaheim Angels of Southern California Orange County Metro Area Region may disagree, but yes the Cubs are solid, definitely the team to beat in the NL. For everyone who decided on thursday of last week that they were "done" I hope you feel stupid. We are one back with 6 to go. Closest we have been (other than last year) since 1992. Why would you turn your back now? Of course a bad week will hurt. I'm not sure I could even take losing to the Cubs on the last day of the season if it meant we missed out on the playoffs. Keep watching. As a Brewer fan since the late 70s, these chances are few and far between. I hope the crowd in Miller this week is 100% "all in" for the crew. anything less would be undeserved. The team fired Yost, they proved they want it as bad as you do. Respond in kind. Go Brewers!!!!!!
  12. No doubt this is painful to watch, but don't tell me you won't be checking in on the games this weekend. If you logged on to this board, you're too into it to give up now. I'm staying with the ship. It is my duty. Full speed ahead!!!! http://img55.imageshack.us/img55/2961/22fk6.jpg
  13. It's not sad news if that is how he really feels. This team goes on a win streak while he is platooning and he wants out? Wow. Funny he didn't ask for this during the 170+ streak of games he played in in which the team was under .500. Looks like Bill Hall has Bill Hall in front of Milwaukee Brewers on the priority list. He's a nice player, but he's even hurting his own value with the timing.
  14. The Cubs. They had the audacity to have a slightly above mediocre season in a year where we though our mediocre season would do. Seriously? No blame here. The organization took another step forward. Heck, the Crew may still pull this one out. But if not, it's a HUGE step forward they took. The Packers knocked on the door (mostly Dallas) for 3 years before breaking through. Alvarez's Badgers broke alot of hearts with two straight oh-so-close-to a-bowl-game 5-6 seasons. It's a step up the mountain. Prince's 50th cemented this teams place in recent Brewer history. Sadly(?) for us, it has to go 4th, behind only 1982, 1992, and 1987. But yeah. Cappy, Hall, and Yost will go down (in the record books) with this ship if it ends in 2nd place.
  15. I only wish Ned had this fire in June, July, and August. If he managed with this intensity then, he may not have had to this week. (Yes, I know you can't act like every game of 162 is "game 7", but there are times I wish he would have taken up for his guys, the Prince/LA incident for example). After all, there was a clamoring for Phil Garner to return after he got canned. He would have gone Izzy Alcantera on LaRussa tonight. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/smile.gif
