  1. I'm not very audio savvy, but if anyone has the audio of Uecker's call on Brauny's HR, please post it. I was able to hear it once on the postgame show and it absolutely gave me chills. He pretty much nailed it...as always. I'm so happy for Ueck...he is the Brewers!!!
  2. Nady and Marte have been pulled from the Pirates game and apparently traded. No word on where yet...stay tuned.
  3. According to TH, Melvin says the Brewers are NOT in the Sherrill race as the O's would want JJ or Escobar in return (Hahahaha!). Melvin also says "I don't think so" when asked about whether the Brewers will be adding another bullpen arm before the first trade deadline. Interesting update.
  4. Wolf's first start will be Sunday at Miller Park vs. the Crew and Suppan per the chron.com
  5. So, according to TH, the Giants are on the hook for about half of the remaining 3mil while the Brewers also pick up the 200K trade clause Durham had in his contract. Happy to see the Brewers won't have to pay everything and hopefully have something left for one more move. Dillon officially sent down as well. Go Crew!
  6. Any word regarding whether or not SF will be on the hook for any of Durham's remaining contract? While it's clear that the Brewers have the prospects to add a RP still, there's gotta be a point where Mark A draws the line with the payroll....isn't there? Hopefully there's enough left in the war chest for one more move.
  7. ...to pay for a Brewers playoff push? Dude's my hero!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. SFGate.com blog entry also seems to indicate that this is a Durham deal...although reading the article certainly makes it seem like this guy and TH are probably still hangin' out at the ballpark trying to put a story together...
  9. An article on Cleveland.com says the PTBNL is either Taylor Green or Michael Brantley, fwiw.
  10. Gallardo vs. Harang. Go Yo! http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/04/20/gallardo-gets-the-start.aspx Gallardo gets the start By Anthony Witrado Sunday, Apr 20 2008, 09:08 AM Cincinnati - Yovani Gallardo will get the start I learned this morning since Ned Yost said he hadn't made a decision as late as Saturday evening. Gallardo will be activated off the DL today, but there is not official word on a roster move or who will be sent down. Gallardo is making his first start since last season because of minor knee surgery he had early in spring training. Last season the 22-year old was 9-5 with a 3.67 ERA, striking out 101 and walking just 37 in 110.1 innings. Gallardo entered last season as Baseball America's top prospect in the organization. The Brewers currently have 13 pitchers on the roster, so probably a pitcher will be the casualty. Carlos Villanueva, Manny Parra or Dave Bush are the likeliest candidates.
