  1. WHAT IF we gave them Cameron, Suppan and Hall then add in another prospect and we get Manny and of course some money. You slide manny fight after Prince and BAM! Again this is a WHAT IF!
  2. Would that the player package be about right for Street though? Maybe this was all about him after all.
  3. This could be why it wouldn't get announced until tomorrow after the game, as he says at the end of the post.
  4. Are we sure that the proposed deal is even with Oakland, could this be something with San Fran?
  5. Tom H. just said its not Street, but something is up. http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/07/19/something-is-up-probably-not-street.aspx#addcomment
  6. I bet if its just Ford then we get one of the lesser pitchers. Bit if its Ford plus other players then maybe we could land Street, but who know what Beane is up to these days.
  7. Didnt Capps just go on the DL and is expected to be out for a good amount of time? Also it says on ESPN.com that the Pirates are not going to trade Wilson, but that could change. Cubs will make a smaller move thty just dont have much to give up, but the biggest buyers are going to be the Rays. I just hope the Crew can get Durham for cheap he would be great at the top of the order.

  9. Ray Durham to me would be a pretty good fit for the Crew. He probably would not cost us very much to get in terms of players, and his OBP would go great at the top of the batting order. He is getting older and his defense is not what it used to be but to have somebody get on base a little more consistantly in front of our 2-3-4-5 hitters would be a big boost to the offense.
  10. It might not be a real injury but to me he has the dreaded "dead" arm. Just watching the game yesterday and his last couple of starts, he just didnt have it. Yesterday he was topping out at around 83, I know he doesnt dial it up over 90 that often but he usally sits between 88 and 90 and here and there touching 91. Along with loss of velocity he didnt have his usual control either, so a little off time will be good for him. Plus being a veteran its not like he cant get ready for the stretch run when he can do what he was brought here for the post season,or atleast thats what they said when they brought him in.
  11. Well according to the Brewers website the probable pitchers for the week are: McClung-today, CC-tomorrow, Sheets-Wed, Bush-Thur, and Suppan for Friday. So something is up, either they are pushing him back to Sat. or they are skipping him altogether, becasue we know that CC is going again on Sunday. But ESPN has a totally different lineup of pitchers with Parra getting pushed into the Wed game and everyone else sliding back a day, so who knows what is going on?
  12. I say thanks but no thanks. Too high a price for a rent-a-pitcher.
