    The saddest part about having 14 pitchers is that nearly all of them are overworked because of all the extra inning games and the struggles of some our starters. I can't imagine what would've happened had we not had all these pitchers.

    Identical play with a slower runner, which is why he was able to get the ball out of his glove. Its amazing how different of a play he makes when he doesn't feel like he has to rush his throw edit: im talking about Rickie, in case you couldn't figure it out

    Gotta feel great for Gross. He was struggling but all of his at-bats were ending like that bomb he hit in the 9th; hit very well but just to the wrong spot of field. I'll take a 12-8 record right now considering we haven't really had a great offense and bullpen in the same game.

    Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I would surely disagree that he lacked control. It looked like he put every pitch just abour right where he wanted it... Agreed. He got in a jam, made the pitches he needed to get out of it, but Weeks let him down. So Gagne has every right to blame Weeks IMO.

    I said the exact same thing on another board. Weeks' throw sucked but many 1st basemen pick that ball. Fielder has looked atrocious on defense this year. You cannot be serious...

    Gagne warming up doesn't matter. Gagne told Bill that it doesn't take him very long to get loose and that he doesn't start throwing hard until he knows he's going in, which he didn't yesterday. Also, Gagne has said the last two days that he feels absolutely fine to go. The fact of the matter remains that he shouldn't have even had to pitch today if the rest of our bullpen does their job and he should've already gotten the save today.
