  1. Gabe Kapler always one of my favorites. Francisco Cabrera just off of one hit.
  2. Not sure about calling pitches from the dugout... but to have him back as a coach or mentor would be a good idea.
  3. Graffy is old and his numbers dont look that great but I do think he is worth taking a chance on. He played pretty good for us 2 years ago. He can play the infield and in LF.
  4. I am sure he will be just fine after a little time off to rest. Hope he is not trying to take Sheets spot for being Mr. DL now that he is gone. Just rest it Ryan and when the season starts go out there and do your thing!!
  5. When Lamb is in Weeks Lamb Braun Fielder Hardy Hart Cameron Kendall Pitcher When Hall is in Weeks Hardy Braun Fielder Cameron Hart Hall Kendall Pitcher
  6. fondybrewfan, I am in agreement with you on ManRam pulling his same stunt like he did in Boston. But I also think some team will take the chance and sign him for 3 years at about 20-25 mil a year. Not sure who but this is what he gets for doing that in Boston.

  9. I still see someone giving him a 3 yr 70/75 million. I dont know who would he is awful in the field but he hits well. Can he put up the #'s he did as a dodger last year for a whole year or 2 or 3? that is what i cant see happening.

  12. I like Brad Nelson I think he has chance to be a decent player. I was just saying Millar if they are talking about signing a free agent. I would much rather see them give Nelson a chance at some playing time.
  13. I think Durham would have been better... But for $1M cant complain
  14. Rather then Mientkiewicz I would like to see them take a chance on Kevin Millar. He at least has a little bit of pop in his bat.
  15. Wow only a 2nd round pick for CC that really hurts. I cant stand the Yankees they have the 4 highest paid players in the game... but hey they have the $$ so why not
  16. MNBrew- all great moves by Melvin I must agree... I do think the JDL for Graffy was a brilliant move he was a great utility guy and even had a few games in LF. And I had forgot about Tomo Ohka...I think Melvin has overall done a good job its hard to be a GM and he has done just as good as anyother GM out there.
  17. Has anyone heard anything about the brewers trying to bring Kapler back? I have not seen anything and was wondering if anyone has. Thanks
  18. How about Hall to oakland
  19. Minor league deal just like we did with Choate last year is a good deal. If he makes it up to the majors and can help great if not he will be cheap. Worth the risk at the very least!
  20. I agree that come late June or July Hall will not be starting and will be in the super sub position. Or we could always bring back Counsell for cheap he was not awful. Where is Graffy at now anyway could be be an option if signed a minor league deal?
  21. I do like your idea of Hudson and I think 8 mil a year would be good and we could move weeks or package him with some others.
  22. They hurt themselves but once every what 10 years they miss the playoffs? We have been to 1 playoff in 26 years. The sad thing is that they can spend 240 million on 2 players. Money is no object to them. They just keep spending and spending but they do keep winning except for once a decade they have a bad year about 90 wins but still a bad year
  23. I agree I would give him about the same contract they gave Choate last year but that is about it.
  24. Alot of teams are in a wait in see mode...there has been a few signings but no team is really making major moves. What major moves could the Brewers make? They have to wait just like everyone else. Ok the Cubs might get Peavy so the Brewers need to do what? What can they do not like they can try to trade for him. They have to wait and see like almost everyone else.
  25. Please please please I dont want Cappy any where near a brewers uniform... I like the pen still think we need a closer keep Seth as the LR/ 6th starter and use Villy as the 8th inning guy. Julio /Coffey for the 7th
