Lets be Frank, The brewers are out of the race. Gamel and Escobar (with hardy in AAA) should be playing every day, Macha will mismanage Escobar just as poorly as he did Gamel.

11:08am: Jon Heyman of SI.com says the Brewers appear to be a threat to acquire Halladay. He's hearing Manny Parra's name and suspects Mat Gamel or Alcides Escobar would have to be involved, too.

Did anyone hear the blurb about Brian Anderson talking to Gamel before he left for Nashville during the game last night. According to BA Gamel was confident that he would be back in Milwaukee shortly, as in prior to September call ups. Does Gamel know something about trades in the talks or am i reading way to much into the comments and Gamels just exuding confidence. -
I don't see how placing Gamel in LF makes any sense, there is no future for him on the brewers in LF. I don't think you put a guy there to learn to play the other OF positions. I don't believe center is a viable option either, i could see right field. Overall i see his future with the brewers at first base assuming the brewers can't hold on to prince (obviously it would be nice if they could).
