  1. You dont put guys in the outfield that hit .230 unless they hit 30 + HR's a season... Guys that play the outfield are typically power hitting players unless your hitting over .300... which the Brewer dont have except for Braun. If Weeks moved to center it would be a wasted postion...
  2. Can I ask you what you do for a living that your at every Brewer game in those seats? Plus the 100 plus throwback jerseys you wear at those games?
  3. I can't let this go, Cameron could easily end up being like 5 runs above replacement when factoring in defense in a shortened season. He's clearly worth more than $10 million. Right now I see no way the Brewers don't pick up the option even if just to trade him (though he has some no trade protection). I think alot depends if the Brewers see Brantley as a starting CFer in the future, in which case Cameron for 1 year is a great thing. I agree with you on that. At first Cam was a piece of crap. Wasn't doing anything to start the season. He really has come along and been hitting the ball extremely well. Plus he is taking a nice relaxed approach to the plate. I can see the Brewers picking up the option, unless they want to try and re-sign one the two aces as a first priority.
  4. AMEN Brother! I hate those "since then" stats....
  5. Actually it's been 74% of his plate appearances, not just half a season, but don't the let the truth spoil a good rant. What numbers are you talking about with Weeks? 74% of the season he has hit .260/.360+OBP? That cant be right? There are 34 games left which is roughly 78% of the season has passed.. maybe a little more? He's batting nowhere close to that? he's at .229/ .335 now? I must be reading that wrong? Are you talking about his career? Casue the thats .244/.351? (pared back long quote --1992)
  6. I agree with you.. but I hardly think Brantly will be that guy.. They gave up enough.. it should be someone else... (pared back long quote --1992)
  7. I agree with all you you guys on how Weeks just cant seem to take the next step. Everyone gets excited when he starts off hot and then gets hurt. He starts off hot and then he goes into a huge slump. The only option's that make the most sense would be to trade him and let another team deal with the frustration OR move him down in the lineup... like 6 or 7... but who do we have to bat for him in his spot? Everyone would say Hart, but I love Hart right were he is? What would we do then if we kept Weeks and tried him down in the lineup? I don't see that working and it would only mess with the little offense we have at this point. I like the I idea of trading him and Prince to the Giants for Lincecum. We can always bring up Gamel at some point to play 1st...Weeks is the bad link on the chain on this team...
  8. I see that happening soon, but by next year Im not sure that soon. If the Brewers bring up Escobar and he flat out shows he can make the roster and start then we trade Weeks. Do we just wait until mid-season next year or how many of you guys think Esco will be ready by mid season next year?
  9. I see get what you saying, but is that acceptable? Or have we come to just realize that is what we will get from him? I cant live with all the potential and less than avg numbers. I cant be that only one?
  10. I meant to say in a full season. He will never put those up in a full season. And projected numbers dont mean anything. Until he proves it...
  11. See thats what I was talking about with some friends. I think a trade would jump start his career. I dont get why the guy has such problems. I always thought he could be a 30 HR player and hit around .280... I just dont see that here..
  12. I was wondering what you Brewer Fans think we should consider for next season? Have the Brewers given up on Weeks? The lack of production and the ability to stay healthy are some concerns. Also, Weeks can't seem to put together a full season without having an injury or slump slow his progress. He cant seem to break the .230avg and a.360 OBP in a full season either. Do you see the Brewers shipping away Weeks for a pitcher if we lose the two aces? Or do we give him another chance because he has "so much upside"? On the other hand, Durham looks like he still has a couple really good years in the tank. He has a great avg for a leadoff hitter and has an OBP around .380. I'm not sure what I want to see next season? I cant deal with Weeks not taking the next step year after year. He's what 25, has plenty of trade value still.... What are you guys thinking? I rather see Durham next season...
  13. Im not buying the Parra innings stuff... He will be fine. He has pitched fine his last couple outing's and only had a bad inning that blows his outing out of proportion. Anyways... Sup will be key to the run. If he comes through and Bush pitches well enough on the road we are in good shape. I dont know what it is with him, but Sup starts hot... then sucks til aug every year...
  14. Lately the starting rotation has been very strong so it helps everyone out in the pen. I think Gagne was lacking the control he had because of the pressure. The best thing that ever happen to him was getting hurt. I gave him a chance to just sit back and work on things. He got sent down and got thing right. He has been great lately. I would rather have him hit the corners at 91 then over the plate at 94... He has turned it around as of late.
  15. I couldnt agree more. We need to sweep the Nats... Im sorry we do! We have out top three going up against their rotation. Going into SD we will have CC and Benny again so it's looking good. And Parra to start the LA series! SD isnt a team we cant just forget about either, They still can suprize a lot of teams despite having a down season. BUt the good thing CC and Ben will close up the series.
