  1. Provided he pitches alright today, what about Parra sliding into the rotation? It would take him a bit to get fully stretched out, but he has been pitching well this year.
  2. I only spent a couple days in KC several years back, but the bbq at Oklahoma Joe's was fantastic. I highly recommend the brisket.
  3. I too was the victim of a stolen little weber grill this year. Usually only use it a few times a year so it was in a good shape. Obviously they aren't too costly, just annoyed me more than anything. I can't imagine anyone stealing one to use and keep for themselves, so I assumed it was some drunken idiot thinking he was funny.
  4. It seems to be a foregone conclusion in most people's minds that Bush will be gone, but isn't there a chance that the Brewers could sign him? He arguably has been our 2nd best starter this year. He's definitely had a few stinkers, but otherwise he has been relatively consistent (if that makes sense). He does have our only playoff victory in the past 25 years, which allowed me the opportunity to attend a Brewer playoff game, only to be ruined by Suppan. As others have stated, he would be a suitable 4/5. Can't imagine he would cost too much in free agency. I assume we won't offer him arbitration as my understanding is the only real benefit to offering a player beyond our control has ended is to ensure compensation if they happened to be a Type A/B free agent, which appears highly unlikely. But couldn't we offer him a deal in free agency, either a one-year or even a multi-year deal? There undoubtedly will be worse options. Or are most people of the mindset that our rotation is already too full of 4/5 types? I suppose we could always trade him in the next 10 days and then sign him in the offseason if we were so inclined.
  5. Not sure how realistic it is, but is Beckham better suited for 2B or 3B? I for one would like to see the Brewers keep Weeks, and would hesitate to take another 2B, especially with Lawrie coming as well. Although, I suppose Lawrie could probably be a long-term answer at 1B or OF.
  6. Ughh, I hope this isn't true as I don't recall it being overly spectacular. One good week does not make the month good.
  7. Regarding Lucroy's ability to control wild pitches, doesn't it seem as though he has "allowed" an awfully lot of wild pitches. Parra, alone, had several wild pitches just recently. And now another one today that allowed a run to score. Granted I didn't see the play today, but it's frustrating to see balls get past the catcher that it appears they should have stopped.
  8. So I recently joined Twitter, primarily to get updates from McCalvy and Haudricourt. Initially I was receiving the messages via text, but it got to be more than I cared for so I've since stopped receiving texts. However, I have started following others solely online. I mostly use it for sports updates of my favorite teams but am not sure who else is out there. So I'm curious as to who everyone else is following and if they would recommend following anyone. Currently, I'm following McCalvy, Haudricourt, Bret Bielema, Brandon Jennings, and Gery Woelfel. Any other suggestions?
  9. Agreed about the AT&T thing, I was disappointed we couldn't get that either.
  10. Where do you find this information? Just recently got DISH in the Madison area and have often been unable to find an HD feed. Anyone else have a similar problem?
  11. why is samraddfasdfasdklfjaah in the big leagues? i've never been impressed and if i recall, he was "rushed." wasn't he just playing football at ND a couple years ago?
  12. agreed, it would appear to be a perfect time for stetter.
  13. Interesting that Narveson is in now. Wonder what happens in our bullpen with Suppan being activated.
  14. why why why why BA, take it back before its too late!I take it back, I take it back!
