  1. Great first half, really for Brewers baseball can't ask for much better. It was the best first half we've ever seen, and I think we all still feel like this team hasn't played up to it's true potential which is exciting. Too many here are quick to criticize My main concerns are can the young arms last and be strong down the stretch and into the playoffs? Many haven't pitched this many innings before ever, will they pitch like Miz in last year's playoffs and look great? Or will they look like Shawn Marcum / Jeffress in 2011 Playoffs and show signs of wear?
  2. Henry Blanco was 12 I think. Should be retired. :)
  3. How much of us does this really affect? We aren't the ones sitting in the front rows anyways at games so this doesn't bother me too much. Maybe once or twice every year or two I'll splurge for really close seats if there's a deal online that's it. Maybe the Brewers have some marketing dept data that they are lacking some higher end stuff and missing out on things other teams have.
  4. He's like Mark Mulder or Cory Lidle on the A's right now when Zito and Hudson got most of the press. But man they both have been amazing.
  5. Yep it would be nice to have a large group of starters healthy for that 18 game stretch next month before the all star break. There's another long one in there at the end of the season too I think. Pretty brutal schedule. Really could use Woody and Priester for those.
  6. Sal is so short most pitches are high in the zone on him. Great W, man Bauers again. Like to see the insurance runs late too.
  7. Was at the game last night that Hamilton catch was pretty amazing. Looked like there was NO chance anyone would get that ball and he got there without diving. Truly great speed.
  8. Great steal of a win. These guys never give up. Love to see it.
  9. We have 2-3 grueling stretches of baseball later in the season this year, for the first time in a few seasons I believe. This year most of our off days were front loaded. I have a feeling those 2 x 18 games in a row stretches coming up later in the season might make our younger players tire out a bit, or some September they might fade with increased workload compared to in years past. But the Brewers have been smart with dealing with these issues in the past or calling up other players to help and they do a good job so I have faith and trust the front office.
  10. Knowing the history of both these teams, something is coming. Either today or a later series something is coming.
  11. Here's to hoping Jomboy does a deep dive. He usually finds this kinda stuff. If more happens today I bet he will do one.
  12. Clearly a case of the scouting report on him getting out to all the teams and knowing how to attack him better. The question will be can he adjust as well? Keston couldn't for us, we shall see if PCA can for them.
  13. Playing really good ball against the tough teams so far, I like it.
  14. I think we forget sometimes how young he was when he was called up. Braun was probably still 1-2 years older than Jackson when he debut as a Rookie coming from college. He is still very young.
  15. Sounds like it wasn't the groin on the TV broadcast. Said after playing his back was sore, and the coaching and medical staff didn't want to risk it and sat him to avoid a larger issue. Still not promising. You think a month of rehab and rest on that groin would make his back feel better as well.
