  1. I will be there Friday and Saturday as well. Have front row at the Pesky Pole. Get the feeling Lord Stanley will be visiting Fenway just like for the White Sox last year, it's pretty cool. Kind of hope the parade is Saturday just because of my 1PM arrival Friday and getting in to downtown!!
  2. Speaking of the Cubs, this is arguable the best Cubs fan interview ever. Especially being a Brewer fan in the shadows of Wrigley. Too many great lines to mention......
  3. I have a Green Lot parking pass for saturday's game in Chicago. The Green lot is on Grace just east of Clark Street. This was included in my tickets I got for a charity auction but I live only 2 blocks away. The face value is $20 but give me an offer on it.
  4. The taste is interesting but super crowded, and remember that the fireworks here are on the third. If you are looking for something intereting and really cool I recommend the Wendella Boat Architectural tour on the river. The kiosk for it is right in front of Navy Pier.
  5. Has anyone found it on DTV?? i was flipping around and can't find it.
  6. It's pretty hard to compare when you have Uecker sitting next to you versus Santo. As much as some dislike Bob, you won't get much quiet time with him and you sure don't have to deal with Santo moaning after every play.
  7. You can always get a ticket for the games here, the only way someone spends $100 for upper deck is if they are playing the Cardinals for the playoffs. Go on Sheffield south of Addison, the scalpers all line up there all the way to Newport. Also cruise by the outside bars like Murphy's and Bernie's because people will stand by the rail selling. If the weather is good, which it is supposed to, availability will be tighter but you should get a seat for no more than $40.
  8. I'll be there as usual friday. I know of 2 seats available in the upper deck box, 4 rows off the rail right behind home plate for face value, which is $45 each. Oh, and it is with a group of girls who are all single too.
  9. Wasn't sure whether to post this here or the Major league but, was reading this mornings Chicago Tribune and there is an article on former player who are now minor league coaches and one name really stood out, Chuck Carr! Here is the quote from the article: "Take Chuck Carr, a speedy outfielder who spent time with the Marlins and Brewers, among others. Brewers manager Phil Garner once flashed the take sign to a slumping Carr on a 2-0 pitch. Carr ignored the sign, swung and popped out. Garner, understandably perturbed, asked him why he had blown off the take sign. Responded Carr: "That ain't Chuckie's game. Chuckie hacks on 2-and-0." Sure enough, Chuckie today is coaching Houston's Salem team in the Class-A Carolina League?with, it is hoped, a different attitude." I'm really glad he is coaching the Astros youngsters, Garner has to be looking forward to those guys getting to Houston!
  10. I was at the double header saturday in Florida, that HR he hit in the first game was a monster shot in a tough park. He's older but as one post says, you can never have enough catching in the system.
  11. WOW! I just watched the game on Tivo - the greatest invention since the wheel- what a game. This is one I'll keep to re watch. If only the crew can overtake the Cubs this week while in PR would be great!
