    During the telecast of the Timber Rattlers game last night they did an interview with Jake Odorizzi and he mentioned that he would be playing in the Junior Fall League. Has anyone seen any more information on this league? Here is the quote from Jake: "I gotta go down to Arizona. They're giving me five days off to go back home and then I have to go to a junior fall league. Their first year doing it for us and that runs for another month into October."

    I talked to a former teammate of Cody Adams today, he said Cody had shoulder surgery about 6 weeks ago and that he would start throwing again in the next couple weeks.

    The DSL season starts up today with the Brewers taking on the Mariners at 9:30 CST. Here is the Brewers roster from domincansummerleague.com I'm assuming, as in the past, there won't be much coverage and the box scores probably won't update until the games are over but at least it's another team for us to follow.

    Wow, Daniel Osterbrock owns the Brewers this year. He no-hit Wisconsin earlier in the year and combined on a one-hitter against Brevard tonight. Any chance Cappy would go on three days rest and take Bush's spot in the rotation, thus the low pitch count? I'm just trying to stay optomistic and hoping it's not an injury.

    They said there was an 18 minute rain delay early in the game. Don't know if maybe that had something to do with it. If he had to warm up and sit down and then get back up again, maybe that limited his pitch count?

    Ouch. Looks like Scooter and D'Vo missed the team bus. Good to see Khris Davis back in the field tonight though.

    I'd like to see Cappy too, but I think it will be Wolf on 3 days rest. Just throwing it out as a darkhorse, Amaury Rivas is already on the 40 man and it is his turn to go at Huntsville tomorrow. If it's just for one game he could come up, pull a Chris Saenz and then head back to Huntsville.

    Haha I was thinking it, glad somebody else said it. He's actually come a long way since his "clown in the stands" days on FSN Brewers telecasts. As long as he stops trying to be a comedian and just calls the game, he is fine. Somebody should tell the dude it's Timber Rattlers though, not Timber Rallers. Also, Nashville is getting no-hit going into the 8th inning. (Yes, I mentioned it on purpose because I'm trying to jinx it.) It worked! Cruz just singled to break it up.

    I was at the Rattler's game today. Nieves didn't pitch nearly as bad as it may look. The error on George opened the door to a big inning, but there were also at least two fly balls that probably should have been caught too. Richardson and Davis both misplayed balls, though to be fair, it was a bit windy and the Kane County outfielders struggled a bit also. Of course after the ball Richardson didn't catch, some idiot behind me remarked "he'll never make it as an outfielder". It was all I could do not to turn around, smack him, and tell him this was the kid's third professional game! There was also a strange play where a Kane County runner was picked off first base but Halton for some reason didn't throw the ball to second, then nobody was covering third so the Kane County player took third on the same play. After the inning I noticed Isom gathered the team together in the corner of the dugout. I have some pictures from the game here if anyone is interested in taking a look. I should be out there again tomorrow and possibly Monday if my work schedule allows.

    I don't know if I just missed it in the off season transactions, but in Chris Mehring's latest interview with Corey Kemp he mentions that he has retired. Kinda suprising to me.     Wasn't sure where to put this (mods feel free to move if it belongs in a different area). Just saw that Butler has joined the team in Chicago. I haven't heard an official announcement yet or a corresponding move but I would assume if he is with the team he will be added to the roster. Any chance he will be starting in place of Manny on Friday? Will this keep him from pitching in the AFL or would they still send him after the season? I'm excited to see the kid pitch. Hopefully the Gabe Gross trade will pay off for us yet.

    I was at the Timber Rattlers game today. Scarpetta pitched pretty well, but didn't get much help from his defense. Fatse had two balls he should have caught and Miller had another where he broke in initially before almost making a great recovery but couldn't quite make the catch. I was really impressed with Josh Prince. It was my first chance to see him play and he was on base four times and scored the team's only run. He also had a real nice play defensively where he went in the hole between short and third, jumped in the air and threw to second for the force out. Here are a few pictures from the game: (1.     I was at the game yesterday and the trainer did come out (along with pitching coach Chris Hook) to look at Peralta in the 6th but they left him in and he finished the inning and came back out for the 7th. When he got pulled in the 7th it was just Isom who came and got him (no trainer) so if there was an injury it didn't appear to be too serious.

    I heard Wisconsin is getting their CF back on Wednesday http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif That should add a spark to the offense. (Wonder if that means Cain will be moving up or if Miller will be playing the corner spots?) As for the recent run totals....yikes, not good.

    Why DL him though? The Rattlers roster is currently only at 23. Hopefully Miller will be back soon but that still leaves one open spot. Seidel maybe?

    Hey guys, been reading the site for a long time, but just signed up to post recently. You guys do an awesome job; especially with the Minor League coverage. I was at the Timber Rattlers game last night and got a few pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them.
