It's a cab ride, but I loved this place. http://www.cochonbutcher.com/ They cure their own meats there and its relatively simple fair, but the food is absolutely outstanding. I was down there 3 weeks ago with my wife (I'm 29 and she's 28) and we hung out a majority of the time on Frenchman Street when we were out on the town at night. I'm pretty sure Cafe du Monde for some beignets is the perfect post bar food and they are open 24 hours. That's actually not too far from Coop's if you go there.

Since Bogut's injury, we definitely seem to be playing better, but its mostly been Brandon Jennings putting the team on his back and running with it. Maybe he performs best when he feels like he has to be the leader? I dont think there is a power struggle between the two, but some people wilt when the pressure is on their shoulders and some take their game up a notch. The great ones do the latter.

The perception in the draft that year was either Bogut or Marvin Williams were the two potential stars in the draft. Looking at it that way, we got kind of lucky

After 4 games into his rookie season as a 19 year old, Harris is a bust? He was the youngest player in the draft this year, has awesome size and has shown the ability to overpower smaller defenders in the post.

Just a reminder of how fickle and cyclical these things are in Milwaukee. Before Miller Park, the Bucks outdrew the Brewers in 95 and 96 and almost did in 2000.

http://www.jsonline.com/s...s/badgers/117836443.html Scoring 33 points in a game pretty much was the final nail in the coffin for me. I watch basketball because I love watching the greatest athletes in the world perform at their best. I'm not going to celebrate a style of basketball I hate watching. Any style of basketball that can created 69 total points in 40 minutes of play is something I don't want anything to do with. I'm by no means a Bucks season ticket holder because I love Scott Skiles. If anything, I'd love to watch Skiles hit the curb. If we are going to be a middle of the road franchise with very little chance of winning a title, I'd much rather watch a style that is enjoyable to watch. I also have NBA league pass so I can watch the Thunder, Clippers and Warriors, who play the up tempo style I'd prefer to watch. -

Leuer has been getting huge pops from the home crowds. His alma mater is the perfect example of how awful the college game can be. Up until the last two years, I've been a lifer for Wisconsin basketball, but Bo Ryan completely killed my will to want to watch college basketball. I'll watch it like I watch minor league baseball now, checking out the future pro talent. There was just a Grantland article about how Bo Ryan could kill the college game and I couldn't agree more. For the record, if you think the NBA doesn't play a team game, look at the percentage of baskets in college basketball that come off of an assist compared to the NBA. Isolation is much more prevalent in the average college basketball game than most think, mostly due to the gap in talent between schools and abusing certain match ups. If you watched the Bulls-Clippers game last night, there won't be a college game played at near that level this season, with Rose and Paul playing the point guard position as well as anyone ever has. -

I understand the following one of the front running teams even less when we are saying it's a better game. The likelihood of seeing a completely one sided snoozer is so much greater watching a Duke or a North Carolina than anything. Who enjoys watching Duke blast UNC-Greensboro by 40? Last year, 21 of Duke's 32 wins were by 15 points or more. College basketball is a lot like hockey. Playoff hockey is really awesome, but no one wants to watch Carolina play San Jose on a random January night. The NCAA tournament is great, but there are 30+ games played before that, a majority of which are not competitive. -

The "College Basketball is better than the NBA" argument is one I will never understand. I've got season tickets for UWM and for the Bucks and the level of basketball being played at the Cell isnt even close to the same quality. -

I don't think tradition needs to be in quotes there. I don't understand the amount of hate that comes towards downtown Milwaukee. One of the biggest successes in the state over the past decade has been revitalizing the downtown area (including the Third Ward) and yet I hear most people talk about it like its Escape from from New York or Judgement Night or something. The Bucks fall victim to this more than anything. -

This is my first year as a season ticket holder on my own for the Bucks and I would have to say that I've been more than impressed by what they've done so far. The perks with my package have been great and the service excellent. It was a nice surprise when I showed up before the gates opened and they ushered us in ahead of time, giving us $10 gift cards on the way in. A lot of the reps were stopping by their clients seats to thank them for returning, which I thought was a nice touch. The crowd the other night filled in pretty well after the game started and was actually a hot crowd for the entire first half, mostly due to some truly awful officiating. Everyone talks about the great baseball tradition in Milwaukee when no one showed up for Brewers games until the team showed promise. If anything, we've got a much greater basketball tradition in Milwaukee than baseball. In a city filled with front runners, the Bucks have been in a rough spot for a while. Still, two seasons back, the Bucks showed they have the ability to sell out playoff games and make the BC a really tough place to play. -
29-12 in the second half of the season and one of the hottest teams in the league going into the playoffs. 41 games is no small sample either. A motivated John Salmons joining the team for the second half was the big difference. If Bogut had not been hurt, there was an excellent chance we would have been favored as a 6 seed in the series against the Hawks. You haven't posted one positive or productive thing in this thread yet. Plenty of other threads to troll if you are just looking to be inflammatory

The 09 team was hardly mediocre. Before Bogut went down, we were the talk of the league and would have been a really tough out in the playoffs. Still took the Hawks to six without Bogut The game tonight didnt give us a whole lot without Jackson playing, but I like our guard rotation much more this year than last year. Livingston and Udrih should be a huge step up over Dooling and Boykins. Jon Brockman is terrible, but Leuer looks like he could steal his minutes at some point

I have a question regarding unemployment benefits and eligibility for them. I've been with a company for 4+ years and on Oct. 1st, my salary was cut completely leaving me working 100% comm. With my family situation, that has made things extremely stressful and uncomfortable. I've very recently discussed with management my discomfort and they are putting together a part time alternative if I were to choose to look for different work. It has not been made entirely clear if there is the only path I will have to choose from. My question is, if the part time alternative does not suit my family's needs (re: pays too little to live on), what are my options? If they decide not to offer an alternative position and simply let me go, would I have a claim for unemployment? If what they offer is completely insufficient and I had to leave, would I qualify in this situation? I've never been in this position before so I have no idea how to handle it or what my rights to benefits would be. Any help that can be provided would be extremely helpful. I have to figure this all out within the week, so im in a pinch

Blancofan, what the scalpers are doing is entirely legal now. If you don't like being bothered by them, contact your local state rep so they can change the law back
