  1. Interesting, Daron saying that the players get ticked off at the # of cubs fans at home games, fires 'em up a little.
  2. Is Nomar officially unconscious yet? (Dinger)
  3. Aah, the other guy is Brett Dolan, voice of AZ's AAA team I think he said?
  4. K, I'm back now... Thanks WHEEL!

  6. Kent's a much better color guy than play-by-play. edit: nevermind, it's not even him
  7. Well, he could close. Be a dominating closer, but as a starter... I dunno if that's gonna happen. Yes, you can definitively say that with almost no innings above A ball. Cmon Clancy.
  8. Nomar is ridiculously on fire. 2-1 Cubs.
  9. Speaking of him, how was his hit in the first? blooper, grounder, well-struck? Nope, both AB's have been broken bats

  11. Current radar readings are 93-95
  12. edit: He's throwing all kinds of pitches at like 74-75mph. I hope he's fine, but a season of that would be hilarious.

  14. Looking like it's following the in-game box in this thread for me, if we have one. If someone can do the whole thing, feel free. Otherwise I can do at least a large part of it, similar to yesterday...
  15. News out of Chicago is that Borowski is out for up to 2 months with a broken wrist bone. Pile it on. Alright, 'fess up. Which guy has all the voodoo dolls??
  16. Is Weeks the new Ronnie Belliard??? I know it's the nature of fanaticism, but it seems a tad ridiculous to postulate this based on one spring training ground ball.
  17. Its better to be wild in the zone, than not IN the zone, or straight in the zone. Movement in the zone is always better than straight, unless you are a maddux type with great control, which not many pitchers have. Hardy, maybe I'm just interpreting this wrong, or you're saying it wrong, or something.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I don't understand "wild in the zone" as having much (if anything) to do with movement; rather it's all a matter of control. You know, in general, what kind of movement your pitches have. If you're hitting the wrong side of the plate, that shows a lack of command, not somehow some positive movement (as opposed to "straight" pitches). I would argue that it's actually better to be "effectively wild" (i.e. OUT of the zone), than be throwing strikes when you don't know what part of the plate it's going to end up in. Thoughts?
  18. Wild within the zone can get a reliever in trouble, actually, thats completely false. Actually, that's NOT completely false. If you're not locating WITHIN the zone where you want to, and leaving balls out where they SHOULDN'T be, then you ARE in trouble. And hardy, could you please please please quote things the other way(s)?
  19. Turnbow blew it in the 9th - Padres win 4-3 In Turnbow's defense, he was throwing heat and all the hits were grounders that the fielders just couldn't make a play on.
  20. That was my e-mail they mentioned... when they said someone wanted Capuano's XBox... Nice, Clancy http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  21. ... and back home. Resuming editing my original post...
  22. Sorry guys, work meeting came up, I'm heading home now, thanks for doing some, SBS...
  23. He was drafted the same year Nintendo 64 came out. Excellent point, Pointer http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  24. Sorry for being an idiot, but what is up with the Nintendo 64 reference for Overbay? Sok, you're not an idiot. If you don't get "Nintendo" at all, he got it from making hitting look so easy. If it's about the 64, I used Super Nintendo a couple days ago, just picking another random variation. Tomorrow perhaps it'll be GameCubehttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
