Wow, it's a forum version of a barroom brawl. Cmon, people, we're all pissed, but let's not take it out on one another. We're all united in our love for the Crew... aren't we? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif EXACTLY. Just because folks wanna post their distaste for this TEAM doesnt give the right for some to CHALLENGE others opinions. Its usually stuff here and it needs to change if this board wants to be great. Jeesh! -

I'd strongly urge you to change your attitude and stop the insults, or your stay here will probably be brief. ---- But you can mistrue my words and call me out and insult my intelligence that it makes it ok that you do it? I wonder if all of the media hype knows these rules, where regular posters can challenge new posters but new posters cannot do the same? Spare me. ANd frankly, I didnt say ONE thing to ANY ONE POSTER! -

There's nothing wrong with stating your opinion... just don't state it as a fact, especially when the stats show that you couldn't be more incorrect. Im sorry, did I say that it was fact that I think Wise blows? I thought me saying my feelings means it was opinion. ---- actually Peavy, read what I said before emotionally ripping me. Im not gonna rip on Wise, even though I think he is junk, Do I have to go as so low as to explain the meaning of THINK??? No I dont. -

I agree with what you're saying, but good grief all you do if comment on other people's posts. welcome to brewerfan. Where the regulars rip on others posts instead of talking about the team. Posts I might add that are NOT directed at them. Us, who want to rip or praise the team we love get ripped on by the regs all of the time because we dont meet their level for some reason. Sad. -

Limited opportunites? Are you looking for a 5-year sample size or something? ----------- Ok team canada. Please tell me how many years of Matt Wises career he has been EXPECTED to BE a DOMINANT setup man in the major leagues? Do some of you realize some stats mean jack crap? Apparently not. Wise before LAST year was a NOBODY, and last year he made a name for himself and did well, but NEVER ONCE has he been a guy on a PLAYOFF caliber team that gets the job done when it matters most. Man, some of you are so brainwashed to the medicore lifestyle its sad. The brewers are medicore and have guys who project to be better than average because of that. Please take the goggles off. -

Proven by what? Until you have something to back you up, it's just your opinion, and not a fact of any kind. Oh man. What was I thinking. J. Dude. Come on. Stating your OPINION on a message board? Come on now. Get with it. This is brewerfan. You need actual formulas to say something. OK, its not a fact that wise SUCKS IMO. -

ok...well I would take anyone but Billy there...Hall just isn't good at it..especially with the swings he takes..I love Billy as a starter, but not coming off the bench...Id still take Cirillo over anyone left on the bench Ya think? Maybe Nascar Ned should check a stat once. He was 1-15 last year pinch hitting. And since this board is so stat hungry, yall should see the error of his ways. -

Why not Kolb here???? This happened yesterday too!!!!! They said during the game that Kolb is out with elbow issues. Kinda funny since he doesnt pitch much. -

Funny how you only come out and rant when they're down. --- oh, IM so sorry. I forgot the rule that says I can only post positive thoughts, and only post when they are winning. Please direct me to the rules thread. And my prediction was REFERENCING the PREDICTION THREAD smart guy. Im glad you personally attacked my post though withouth bringing ONE THING baseball related. I bet you dont get banned though. And my numbers are about Wise are based on LIMITED LIMITED opportunities. Sorry If I stated that this guy has PROVED himself to be a QUALITY set up guy over the years. Oh yeah, HE HASNT. Numbers mean NOTHING unless they are when it matters MOST. -

seriously, IM so freaking sick to my stomach right now i dont know what to do. Im lost in the world. Maybe its now that I quit watching this team. They are so average when I THOUGHT they MIGHT have a chance to be special, but early on, its clear they are just another average team with unrealistic expectations, just like about 50% of the teams in the league. -

Well, Im not gonna rip on Wise, even though I think he is junk, he did what expected in crunch time, like he always does, when its joke time, he gets away with his weak stuff. But that miscall at 1st base was the worst call Ive seen in a long long time. It wasnt some quick call that could go either way, that we got screwed on, which we always do, this was PLAIN AS DAY!!! It wasnt even close, this was simply a homer call. And this is why MLB umpires should be fined for pathetic calls like that. It blew the game for Milwaukee, period. Althought, milwaukee itslef, even though we have 6 runs shouldnt whine because our offense is a joke and a half and will be the reason we still dont win more than 80 games this year. I predicted 85 losses and I will be right, like usual. -

when the end of the season comes and we missed the playoffs, by lets say 7 or 8 games, you can point to games like this that we will end of losing. Playoff teams dont have these things happen in back to back innings. Teams that miss the playoffs do. Sad, just sad. New year, same ole inconsistent Brewers offense. I know its the players up there hitting, but can it be anything about Butch that causes these problems too? Its almost as if they are thinking TOO much up there instead of just relaxing and seeing the ball and hitting the ball. I think Butch puts TOO much emphasis on what to do with RISP. I dont know, frustrating to say the very least. -

*sigh* Someone please remind me that this is a long season and stuff like this happens. Its a long season and stuff like this happens to average, non playoff baseball teams. -

Disclaimer- The following is a rant. If you are easily offended by severe negative comments about the brewers, please scroll down fast, or look away. Well, back to reality. I dont think this team will win 80 games this year and here is why... Still dont have an above average offense. Lee, and thats about it. Hall is inconsistent and with Koskie gets limited at bats now. Our offense will REALLY struggle if Ned continues to hit Rickie and Prince back to back. Talk about a rally killer to have those two hitting back to back. Granted, they are the future, but right now they ARENT the present. Both look absolutely clueless at times. That alone will cost us some games early on this year. Mulder- 2rbi Brewers- 2rbi That says it all right there. Cappellan? Someone lied about this guy, yikes, 91 and straight as an arrow with NO offspeed pitch for strikes. Is it me, or is Tomo Ohka the LEAST entertaining brewer pitcher in the history of the team? I get bored watching him pitch, even when he pitches well. He just doesnt excite me like the others do. Even guys who were terrible excited me more than Tomo. Well, thank god for Pitt, otherwise, this team would be staring at a below 500 record early in the season, and come Next monday, they might be anyways.
