  1. Considering you can now get tickets for Thursdays game for under $10 (around $5 for terrace or bleacher ticket w/ Stubhub $10 off code), that's a very good deal.
  2. From TH's blog post today: "Braun basically admitted to us after the game what we already suspected, that he still is experiencing discomfort from the ribcage strain he incurred back in August. It has been evident from watching a great hitter struggle so much for weeks that something was wrong but he just wouldn't admit to it. Braun didn't specifically mention the ribcage injury but said "it's obvious I'm not feeling that good." All of us who heard it knew he was finally putting it out there that he's not 100% physically. That has been pretty obvious from watching him but now he finally let it out. He did swing the bat a bit better today, however."
  3. Cubs won't play that hard. They know there's a good chance they'll play the Mets in the playoffs and so they won't want to give them too much to look at with such little time between the games and the playoffs. Plus they'd rather keep the Brewers out of the playoffs so they can play the WC winner in the 1st round instead of a division winner.
  4. the way they're celebrating the win, you'd think they haven't blown a second consecutive season. ugh.
  5. and again today prince continues padding his stats in "garbage time"...
  6. Unfortunately I see this team going in that direction. The payroll the next year or two will likely be much, much lower than it was this year. We won't sign any big ticket free agents and other than maybe a Cameron-level signing, not many changes will happen. Someone like Hardy or Fielder might be traded for some pitching help, but the new players next year will likely be the younger guys and some low to mid level FAs. And then in 2011 or 2012 when the next crop of younger players is ready and guys like Braun are nearing the end of their contracts, we'll make another 1-2 year run like we did last year and this year and see how it goes. I'd be shocked if this team is in playoff contention at anytime during September during the next 2 years. These last 2 years was our window, and now we wait for another window in a few years.
  7. I said I was done going to games, but I'm thinking about getting a ticket behind the Brewers dugout for Tuesday just to boo these bums. And if they want to cry about it, fine. It's kind of sad that they seem to get more upset about the fans booing than they do collapsing 2 seasons in a row.
  8. Just a great AB, Fatty. Way to cost the team another game with your laziness.
  9. Cameron strikes out. SHOCKING!!! Get that bum off this team.
  10. lol. it's just funny now. that one's on you, fielder. maybe if cc gets rocked these last 4 games we can afford to keep him :P
  11. "bang-bang play at the plate" says BA, lol try "bang.... make a sandwich.... bang"
  12. Iorg looks drunker than Sveum did out there.
  13. Philly losing big late, Mets up 2 on the Braves, but the Braves have bases loaded with nobody out. Edit: now 1 out. Not that any of this will probably even matter...
  14. I only had tickets to the last game vs the Cubs, but I unloaded those after the game today. Don't need to sit through a pre-playoff party thrown by the Cubs fans at MP. And if (or should I say when) the fans boo, this time the team deserves whatever reaction they get. Hopefully they don't tighten up at home and instead play "loose" like they do on the road.
  15. Was able to sell my tickets and parking pass for the last Sunday game about an hour ago (to someone from IL of course). And I'd suggest that the Brewers be very prompt returning our playoff ticket refunds. I know how fast electronics payment work these days. Don't give us some 4-6 week delay or something in a desperate attempt to get me to renew, cause that's not happening. I'll still go to games next year, but not nearly as many, and they will be ones with discounts, or below-face value tickets from eBay/Stubhub. If I want season tickets to see a team who doesn't care, I'll go see the Bucks - they are much cheaper.
