  1. I read one guy (I think with The Athletic) saying they expected Chenel to blow away some people with his strength. Most mocks have him going in the 3rd-4th round. But someone might fall in love with the guy. He's a beast. Chenal weighed in at 250 pounds - which is lighter than with Wisconsin (he was around 260-265). Scouts seem to think the lighter weight will do him better in the pros to improve his speed and movement. As you said, he did well. One take: Leo Chenal, Wisconsin: At 6-2 and 250 pounds, Chenal running 4.53 was awesome. He looks thick on film and not necessarily that fast. But that number will stick to his draft profile. He's a thumping downhill type who we now know has some speed in his arsenal. Those jumps were tremendous too, and frankly, a bit shocking. Good for him. He had the highest vertical jump of the main LBs in attendance. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2022-nfl-scouting-combine-montana-states-troy-andersen-wisconsins-leo-chenal-shine-in-linebacker-workouts/ I have followed Leo since he first stepped foot on the Camp Randall field. He has been the most impressive of all the recent linebackers that have played for the Badgers. He is the classic high impact football player that really has demonstrated outstanding athletic skills at the Combine. He has demonstrated superb pass rush skills and plays the run strongly. With the 4.53 40 yard, he will be able to play sideline-to-sideline and will cover those running backs from the backfield. He has excellent tackling skills and I was hoping he would be available at pick 60 for the Packers, however I believe they will need to trade up to get him now (in the low 50s).
  2. Realistically this team is a 4-5 seed. They’ve had a horseshoe in their back pocket for so many games this year. It will be a long shot to see them in the Sweet 16 group. But a fun group to watch.
  3. Wow, that sure changed.
  4. Here is a good take on the lockout. The way baseball is currently run, the future is bleak. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/33362477/inside-self-inflicted-crisis-boiling-mlb-lockout-deadline-arrives
  5. And Attanasio will only spend $120 M for player salaries. That is really embarrassing. Mark needs to step up to at least $155-160M. He can’t possibly plead poverty. Stop stealing $$ from the public.
  6. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/32806209/barry-bonds-roger-clemens-far-less-great-subtract-ped-factor Another good article on the HOF credentials of Bonds and Clemens.
  7. He was one of the primary players that the Brewers sent to the Cards along with Sixto Lezcano and and Larry Sorensen in the Rollie Fingers, Ted Simmons, Pete Vukovich deal passed away in Nicaragua on Sunday. One of the top MLB prospects in the early 1980’s David never quite lived up to his press clippings. He had a couple of good years in 83 and 84 with the Cards and then was part of a trade with the Giants that moved Will Clark to the Cards in the winter of 1984. An excellent athlete that was quick as lightning, but never hit well enough to truly make it in the bigs. One of the first Brewer minor leaguers of that era that didn’t live to their promise followed by Glenn Braggs and Billie Jo Robidoux.
  8. Doug has made some extremely strong points. Just because there are players in the HOF that took PEDs doesn’t mean that all players who cheated should be eligible. There is no reason that the HOF cannot recognize PED users and the stats they accumulated over the course of their career. You should acknowledge their their place in baseball history and how they were able to accumulate those stats (i.e.: wins, home runs, BA, etc.) regardless what they needed to ingest to get there. Induction into the HOF should not be based upon numbers in record books, “especially when the inductees did not stand on the shoulders of their predecessors so much as trample them into the ground with glee.” If all that matters is the history the winners tell us, what about the stories of the honest players who had to play against these cheaters, are they any less? Bonds, Clemens, Ramirez and the rest are just egomaniacal and wanted fame at the expense of most everyone else who played fairly. They made their choice when they decided to artificially manipulate their bodies to improve their performance. Let’s call it like it truly is….it’s not how you play the game that counts. It’s only if you win or lose that really matters in our society. Take every advantage you can possibly obtain no matter how immoral, fraudulent and corrupt it may be…..as long as you don’t get caught.
  9. One other topic MLF touched upon was he had yet to make decisions on any changes to his coaching staff, including Maurice Drayton. And alluded to the fact he just needed more vets on special teams. I truly hope Gutey, Murphy and Ball talk some sense into his thick skull.
  10. If MLF is taking all the blame for this loss, he should do right by the fans and just quit. This was a historical failure that only resignation can cure. He’s just full of it. It would be better off to just skip the postgame presser than to give us the tripe he handed out today. He does not give the fans any credit for their knowledge. Please be a little honest with us Matt, instead of shoveling that crap out to us. He should have just a little bit of integrity instead of being a total jerk.
  11. You know your ST is bad when even when dummies like Troy Aikman.& Joe Euck know the’re terrible.
  12. Did MLF even mention the ST during his postgame presser?
  13. The earliest the Packer’s could trade Rogers is March 16, 2022
  14. I don’t see Rogers too worried about these QBs, if I know Rogers.
  15. So the #2 overall pick plus another 1? No chance. Must have missed the lol. A joke, not on a joking night however.
