  1. Didn’t look like it, but maybe I didn't see it right. Either way Longoria was clearly not ready and still getting set. Is the batter suppose to get completely set with his eyes closed looking at the dirt and then quickly look up? This is the reality of the new rule. As the announcer said “The umpires discretion”…that’s always going to leave the door open for some fun times. Just like the NFL and what a catch is.
  2. We only got one quick review, but looked like Miley started before the batter ever was ready. Miley already got warned. Sounds like a Wade Miley problem.
  3. Umpire is supporting the shortening of games. We aren’t hitting anything off this guy tonight anyway. 1-0 should about do it. Lol
  4. Brian Anderson throwing an absolute dart to first.
  5. Wooooooooah. Marte ain’t going to be the last one chucking a bat trying to hit in this strikezone.
  6. Going to be a rough day watching the rookies against this guy. All three solidly clowned in their first ABs. Mitchell managed a walk, thankfully, he sure wasn’t going to hit anything
  7. Why we signed Voit, I will never understand.
  8. Yelich is a sunk cost. I’m not saying to get rid of him. Hopefully he becomes incredibly consistent and can be a decent DH for years to come. That being said, I don’t think anyone really comes in the door for Yelich at this point. He is just a guy.
  9. Christian Yelich isn’t productive. Would you call a business with $1mil profits and $2mil expenses…productive. No. He is basically a failed product and we hope he doesn’t drag down the rest of the team that is actually productive. Yes, Yelich isn’t a business…but spending more than you are getting back is never good. If the values are at least close or it is the end of a contract where you got that value in prior years, meh whatever. However, Yelich is so far below his pay and right from the get go. It is a disaster, no need to sugarcoat it. Now we just hope we don’t bleed too much from it. Hope he doesn’t turn into Vernon Wells. Yelich is kind of irrelevant in relation to these young OFers though. He can always shift to first base or DH. He would be a bit more of an annoying pest if Keaton Hiura had panned out and needed to fill the DH spot. Then it would be first or bust for Yelich. That isn’t the case though.
  10. People go chug their extra beer in the parking lot afterwards anyway. Might as well make money before they leave the stadium. It is a drunk driver exodus out of the parking lot regardless.
  11. You guys are really trying your hardest to make this hold up being because of Aaron Rodgers.
  12. I have always felt the line is right where your perpetual tangent starts. If post about how the Brewer are cheap or that Yelich is garbage daily on the forum, please, spare the IGT from it. I think passive aggressive positivity can be just as annoying or worse though. 'I told you so' type stuff is kind of annoying. Brewers make a miraculous comeback, and someone needs to reread 10 pages to find the poster that said the game was essentially over when it was 5-0 and quote it. I don't know why some make such an effort to try and take a good moment and figure out how to make it negative. The IGTs have been fine from what I have seen. I suppose the Yelich talk can be excessive, but then again, so is the money we are paying him. People are flat out not going to be happy watching him as we watch Burnes/Woodruff/Adames walk because we can't afford them. I suppose I would rather people vent about Yelich in an IGT over having 20 threads about him.
  13. Joey Weimer has played in 8 games and is still rocking a perfect 8 game on base streak. He actually had a perfect hitting streak until yesterday. He still managed a walk and a run scored though.
  14. Negative. Sheets/Weeks were both #5. I think some have said maybe someone was #3...but certainly no one has been #1.
  15. Back before I started going to bed at old people times, I loved the IGTs on those late night games. It was pretty laid back and usually was a pretty casual conversation. The 'sky is falling' or negative posters usually didn't stay up late enough to go on their daily tangents mid-game. Though I always hate committing to saying up for a late game only to watch the Brewers blow it in some embarrassing fashion. Then not only did I waste 3 hours of my life to be mad in the end, but also wasted hours of sleep at the same time.
  16. Okay technically MiLB, but please marvel at this no-hitter box score. For context, the SP threw a nice 6 innings of no-hit work. The first reliever walked four guys and the second reliever walked one and hit FOUR guys. Mixed in there was a catching error by an OFer on a fly ball to clear the bases and one of the runs was scored on a wild pitch. The OFer dropping the ball would have been the third out, instead the game went from 3-1 to 3-4. The two relievers eventually did record the three outs needed, but not till they gave up 7-runs on zero hits.
  17. If Winker/Mitchell/Weimer are all hitting well there is little to no chance anyone is moved/traded. Trading a productive bat banking on some guy with zero MLB ABs is not a wise idea. Really, all three could easily be on the team come the second half. Frelick could get starting ABs just rotating around the three OF spots and DH. Not like a 4th OFer doesn't typically pile up opportunities.
  18. Hope he can live up to the hype and be an elite player for us. Not too long ago I looked up the Top 10 prospects from past years to see how they eventually faired. I was surprised how many actually ended up to live up to the hype. There was a still a huge chunk of them them that kind of disappointed (good, but far from expectation) and a few total busts. History says he is almost assured to be an MLB starter...just how good will he be though?
  19. It is exponentially more likely Mitchell/Wiemer are bad enough for both to get demoted than it is for both to be so good that neither gets demoted. It has been a fun 6 games, but it is 6 games. Adames/Contreras are probably not going to hit for a sub .600 OPS this year. Fortunately, both will right the ship...unfortunately Mitchell and/or Weimer are probably going to hit a wall. In the event both keep hitting and never get demoted, sorry Frelick, see you next year. They can figure it out during the offseason.
  20. Well shooting the ball 18+ times in a game will usually leading to some higher point totals. He is probably better than Davis/Lindsey, but that is a pretty low bar to clear. 51 turnovers is pretty darn bad though and only managed a measly 7 steals. His field goal percentage (not great from 3) is nice, but not sure he will have as easy of a time in the Big Ten. Unless they can reduce the turnovers in a major way, I doubt he ends up all that valuable of a player.
  21. I mean, of course not. It is set up to make the games as exciting as possible, same goes for pinning the two most recent champions against each other, or the fact the Big 12 conveniently left out BYU and UCF. Kansas plays Kentucky nearly every year for the Big-12-SEC challenge. I mean, even March Madness has some pretty obvious match-ups they try to make in the second round.
  22. I just saw that view. He definitely wasn't trying his hardest till he looked over and saw the ball coming in. I looked up a few of his triples and while a slow runner...that certainly wasn't his highest gear. He looked like he wasn't actually expecting that throw into home. Considering it was 4-1 in the 7th, I think he was banking on that throw going to third to hold the other runner at second.
  23. He didn't really seem to be running all that hard. Regardless, I enjoy the way the Cardinals manager is handling his team.
