  1. One of the many great acquisitions made by the best GM in baseball.
  2. The last couple of games the Crew has gotten quality starts out of Davies and Anderson. This is starting to look like a pretty decent rotation, if we could only get consistency. The Brewers, as of today, are 3 games below .500, which is a lot better than many people (including myself) thought they would be. There is a lot to be optimistic about with this club going forward.
  3. Very sad, way too young. There are guys still playing in the Majors at that age. Prayers for those he left behind.
  4. And Santana isn't a liability in the outfield, unlike KD.
  5. In a way, this is like watching a minor league team - young players that you hope will one day be great major league stars. They went through this process in Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Houston - painful and slow, but ultimately worth it. I think the Brewers picked the right guy in Stearns to be the architect, now we as fans just have to be patient.
  6. Some good young players on this squad, it's going to be fun watching them develop. Santana looks like he could be something special.
  7. Nice win against the Astros (3-2, April 10 at Miller Park) to win the series. Jeffers looks very comfortable in the closer's role and Blazek did a nice job as well.I think we can be respectable at home this year.
  8. I liked Lorenzo Cain from day one. I thought we had our centerfielder of the future for years to come, but I understand the move to get Greinke.
  9. With Liriano out and headed for the 60-day DL, the centerfield battle comes down to Broxton and Nieuwenhuis. Both will make the team. The fifth outfielder comes down to Pressley, who is tearing it up this Sprimg, and veteran Peterson, who has struggled at the plate. Both are non-roster invitees.
  10. Pena is out of options, I believe, so for that reason I think he'll make the roster. Capuano is a sentimental favorite, and also a lefty, but I think his age may be working against him. Zack Jones might get the final bullpen spot.
  11. Informative and well-written article, thanks for sharing it. After reading it, I am even more optimistic about the rebuild, and more confident that the Brewers picked the right guy in Stearns to spearhead it.
