  1. I haven’t been here in a couple months… who in the hell rearranged the furniture?
  2. Wow, so glad to be wrong, what a fun team!
  3. This whole season has been fun for me. I’ve been a fan since ‘77 and in August I said that this was my 3rd favorite season ever. It has now surpassed all of them, even if we lose tonight. ‘82 was a fun season but I was 14 and just assumed we’d be back and didn’t truly appreciate how special that season was. This team is just so easy to cheer for, to like. There isn’t a guy on the team that I think is a jag. Counsell has done a masterful job of getting these guys to play hard, even when their playing time was cut and/or they were sent down. Every guy in that clubhouse has bought in to the vision and Counsell has managed to the talent and strengths of the team. They have had several “beginning of the end” stretches this season, yet bounced back every time, they are so resilient and almost seem too “naive” to feel the pressure or even realize there is pressure. I won’t talk about all of them but they won the last 8 games of the regular season to clinch the division, including a road sweep of the Cards and the clincher in Wrigley. They had their backs against the wall last night and they stepped up once again. They are loose and having fun and are a pleasure for me to watch. I can’t tell anyone else how to fan but just enjoy this moment, enjoy this season... it’s been magical. And you never know, it may be another 36 years before you can do this again.
  4. We’re goimg to come back and win. We’ve bounced back time after time all year, why stop now?
  5. I’ve been so pumped for the Bucks the last few years but the front office is so dysfunctional that it’s getting hard to be optimistic. I really hope Bud helps them turn the corner but I’m entering the season kind of neutral until I see something different.
  6. People always rush to judge manager’s decisions, there is always stuff we don’t see. We don't know what's going on in these guys personal lives, I always use the example of a guy whose kid has been up puking the last 2 nights. This is even more if a harsh reality.
  7. Hiura with a grand slam today.
  8. Not to derail the thread but between 83 and 86 they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals 3 times, they could get by the Celtics or Sixers but never both in the same year. And 6 of the 7 years between 83 and 89, they won at least one series. When Herb Kohl bought the team, the Bucks had the 2nd best franchise record behind only the Celtics. He disagreed with Don Nelson about basketball decisions (which is laughable, especially in hindsight) as a result Nelson left and the team has sucked pretty much ever since.
  9. You can’t carelessly pitch them and have them tired. We know what tired Hader is like...he sucks. That is no better than not pitching. We haven’t really seen tired Hader since early in the season. He was fine then. We saw bad Hader but I didn’t think he was tired.
  10. I’m not worried about he bullpen tomorrow. We are off on Saturday and this is the playoffs, you pitch guys until their arms fall off, they have all offseason to rest.
  11. I actually think its been a great game. Don't know what game you are watching? Glad you're a purist and "just enjoy watching good baseball". I'm sure the top of the ninth was great fun for you watching a team grind out two runs to tie it up. Better than 3 for the lead.
  12. No matter who wins, I'll wish the other team won.
  13. A friend told me 4:00 for Thursday's game. The company he works for has a suite and he's going, so it is likely correct.
  14. But "cheaper" tickets for those of us that don't have them that may want to go.
  15. This would be really funny if it wasn’t true. Well, it’s still pretty funny
