  1. Oh.....and BTW. THIS IS ALL MY PERSONAL OPINION. I DON"T HAVE A SOURCE AT ALL. NEVER DID!!!!
  2. I'm about to get banned appaerently by the moderators at BF.NET according to their most recent email because I won't be a bf.net minion and be mister good poster. So, the Brewers a week and a half ago gave Cobb an offer of 3/42. He obviously did not accept it, but its still on the table and was the highest offer as of a week ago. Brewers will pursue harder if their staff has more injuries or ineffectiveness going forward.
  3. Don't leave us hanging like that!!!
  4. Staying with the theme. This clip sums up 3/42 to a T for some of you. Pun intended on the T. Enjoy.

  6. Thumbs up. Some of you think like agents, "Brewers are in win now. Let's fleece em" is the agent thought process. The best way to counter that thought process is to make them wait. Crew has shown their interest. No agent is going to make a deal without at least contacting the Brewers at the last minute. Every day these teams make a player wait it benefits the team not the player. Also look closer, Cobb, Lynn and Arrieta all maybe the best out there but their still not the cream. Brewers are playing a wait and see approach with their current starters. Injuries, effectiveness and a players willingness to take less will determine the Brewers acquisitions. It's dynamic with many moving parts. Stearns does not make irrational and emotional decisions. However, He will buy when the price is right. Be patient.
  7. Cobb to sign last week of March.
  8. I have never believed a word this guy says. The stuff he "predicts" is pretty logical and his other stuff is just pure speculation. I could say anything and it would be believable because Stearns has already said he casts a wide net. He broke Lucroy? Cleveland was so desperate for a catcher last year anyone could have called that. Their catchers hit a combined .168 up until the trade. He broke Yelich? They were publicly shedding payroll and it was reported that Milwaukee was talking to Miami. The only logical option was Yelich. I can also guarantee you that the only people that are aware of the level of detail he is supposedly providing are Stearns and Matt Arnold. An executive assistant to Stearns may know who they are calling but would have no idea what is being said. The only thing this guy is providing is entertainment so we can dream and speculate about possible trades and signings, which is fine, especially for the "Transaction Rumors/Proposals" board on here but the fact that so many people are taking this persons word as gospel is ridiculous. I will also give an 80% chance that Cobb does not sign with the Brewers because I do not think the Brewers view him as much better than Woodruff, Guerra, and possibly Burnes midway through the season and they definitely do not want to lose another draft pick. The only way I see him signing is a 2 year deal for around 40 million so they can stay under the $50 million threshold in order to retain their draft pick. Go Brewers! You forgot post #162 under the Darvish transaction Rumors.
  9. Do you have a feel for the contract offers Cobb is getting? I understand you probably don't want to share specifics and I'll get a yes/no answer, just curious if you have an inside track on the #'s. No, that is one thing that I don't have NOR will I ever have. You would get that from Rosenthal or Heyman before I ever would due to reasons I cannot say.
  10. Does Cobb sign before end of week? I would say 80% yes.
  11. So if Cobb is 100%, does that mean they may add one of those other guys in addition to Cobb? I would tend to assume that they wouldn't add Lynn after signing Cobb so I'll assume Cobb is 95% and Lynn is a smaller percent, but I get the general idea here. Yes, it is still a possibility. Personally as you know and I know nothing is 100% till after it happens. But since I got crucified when I said Yelich was 95%.... In other words, read between the lines.
  12. Since people like odds. Santana being traded before opening day 0-10% Brewers getting Archer 15% Brewers getting Cobb 100% Brewers getting Lynn 20% Brewers getting Arrieta on a 5 year deal 15% Brewers getting Arrieta on a 1 year deal 20% Brewers dealing one of Aguilar, Broxton, Perez or Villar 85% Brewers cutting one of Aguilar, Broxton, Perez or Villar 95% Don't yell at me. I have feelings too.
  13. To be fair, HH19 does sometimes express opinion, and I suspect that's what this is. This deal makes it harder for the Jays to stay in the race so, if that's true, the Jays may be more willing to sell at the deadline.
