  1. I'll root for Travis over there to get back to form. With incentives he will match last year's contract. Smoak gets more and I hope both do well.
  2. Nice message and I will miss him in a Brewers uniform. He had two great years and last year was frustrating for him and us. Good luck to Travis and I hope he finds his way back to being a very productive player again but unfortunately it won't be in Milwaukee anymore.
  3. Nationals for the win. Houston won a few years ago and the Nats never. So it's time for the former Expos to get their first WS win. Next year the Brewers will get their first WS win too. Hopefully!
  4. Shaw, in an Instagram post yesterday: As I look back on 2019, all I can come up with is “WHY”. Why did this happen, why couldn’t I fix it, why did this last so long, why me. I went through periods of anger, frustration, disappointment, anxiousness, among others. 2019 broke me down to my core. But I can tell you one thing that was gained was wisdom and a self awareness of what’s important and how to make sure it doesn’t happen again. I don’t have the answers for what happened in 2019 but I know one thing, 2020 WILL be better. So much wisdom and mental strength was gained this year. Time to check out for awhile from baseball, and I promise 2020 will be special again, no regrets! Much love! Those aren't the words of a guy who was unhappy and wanted his release. Seems pretty positive and self-reflective to me Thanks for posting that. Reflective to me too. He is a midwestern boy who likes Milwaukee.
  5. I figured he would be on it. Mentioned it in an IGT. They had been using him pretty regularly the past few weeks and he's had some good at bats. Glad he gets a chance to redeem himself. New season! I hope so.
  6. Woodruff with a good game with some timely hitting and they move on. A lot of baseball people didn't give the Brewers a chance to get this far but here we are. Cubbies watch on tv with no manager. Go Brewers!
  7. I'm happy they are still playing. After losing Christian I had my doubts. Getting swept in Colorado was embarrassing but before that series the team pulled together and here we are. CC has his moments but I believe he should be manager of the year. He really deserves it with all the things he had to deal with this year.
  8. Hopefully Shaw does well today because I like the guy and it is hard to read all the negativity. He helped this team the past two years and it's been hard to watch him this year.
  9. The game was switched to ESNWS on Dish Network.
  10. Shaw with 2 hits and if not for a great center field play would have had a third. It's something.
  11. The kid having a good game. Something enjoyable to watch thankfully this afternoon.
  12. Grandal has hit well but that last at bat makes me wonder why Stearns couldn't have gotten something for him in a trade. He's gone next year anyway. Freitas should be up right now. Shaw's hit wasn't a line drive but a hit is a hit for him this year. Take what you can get.
  13. I like the pregame show TBS had. No Fox flash commentary is missed by me.
  14. Darvish the overpaid signing needs to be hittable today. Left handed line up with Grisham making a start. Shaw in there today. I hope both of them have big games.
  15. Sad to see Jesus go but I think it's a good move. Upside with Faria in the bullpen makes it better and Jesus can fit in at DH in Tampa.
  16. Lyles was pretty good for the Crew and hopefully can go back to that. They should have kept him. Another guy they should have kept is Wade Miley. Maybe Stearns can get him back too.
  17. Reading all the comments in last night's thread before the two homers to win the game was fun. Kimbrell and Theo going home unhappy also a lot of fun. More of the same today would be much appreciated!
  18. Travis started as a first baseman in Boston and they converted him to a third baseman. Good to see him back up and I hope now he is the guy this team has seen before.
