  1. I still believe that the twins match up the best for a hader trade. Would you do hader and houser going to twins for a package of kiriloff, balazovic, blankenhorn and rortvedt. I think that houser would be possible stud pitching in minnesota and definitely need sp options. Kiriloff and blankenhorn close to mlb ready and give us to more options at the corners. Balazovic is a rh pitcher close to ready to dream on and bringing in additional verona wi catching depth. Not sure how the numbers look. Thoughts
  2. Am I wrong in thinking that he also had 1st base experience in the minors? If he can play 1st and the outfield there is more flexibility. He was pretty dominant coming up through the minors with great discipline. This seems like a Stearns player that would be a great play in Miller. I doubt something like would happen I was curious what other thought.
  3. Would the twins counter build by sending Kepler to milwaukee. They would still have Buxton, rosario, and marwin Gonzalez and keep their top prospects including kiriloff, larnach, graterol, and Royce Lewis (cheap talent for upcoming years. They have to some big decision and a ever growing payroll. This gives them a lights out closer to shorten the game for their staff against big boppers throughout AL. Would Stearns do this? Kepler would be a great player to team with yelich and hiura for the next 3 yrs!
  4. I am all in for a dom smith / jed Lowrie deal. I believe that smith will be a solid addition moving forward and Lowrie fills 3b with others for the year. Smith can be a good avg, high obp, 25homer run producer for years to come. Lowrie is a switch hitter who was highly sought after last offseason, and is a better option then other 3b options available with more overall upside IF healthy. Lowrie if healthy could provide .270 ba, 20hr, and solid defense at third. If the crew is out of contention they could flip Lowrie at the deadline and maintain smith going forward. My guess the return would have to be trey susac and lower prospect flyer. Any trade by the Mets will not happen before Donaldson signs.
  5. I totally agree that a 3rd baseman would NOT have to come back in a trade of hader. Get the best possible return whether it be milb or mlb, just need 4-5 years of control and prospects you believe in. I am a believer that a separate trade to acquire dom smith and jed Lowry would fill 3rd and give you a left handed controllable 1st baseman
  6. DS rebuild got pushed up a year earlier then expected with the yelich/cain/braun/shaw offense, and was supplemented with moustakas and Grandal with acquisition and a 1yr deal. Brewers have a good core with woodruff(extension candidate!), yelich, hiura with Braun off the books next year. Think this year is a reboot year, with hader getting traded at the deadline (when prospects have another half year to develop and team needs come clearer). 2021 yelich extension and supplemental signings.
  7. I would hope that if Stearns does trade hader it would be for at least 3 to 4 players. 2 from AA or closer with solid track records - maybe a #15-#30 mlb prospect and an #75-#100 mlb prospect along the line of kiriloff (#15) and balazovic (#76) and a couple to dream on. Looking at possible trade partners who think they will contend and would possibly need relief pitching - best matchups I think would be PHI, MIN, WASH, CHW. Would not be surprised to possible hear from SD too, since Yates is not too far off from free agency. OAK would be a good match but dont think management would spend much long term for an elite reliever.
