  1. I do like the bunt. I think 4 runs, maybe 3, and we’re in really good shape with Cy dealing.
  2. Man, Cy Burnes has an arsenal. Curve, change, cutter. Sit down.
  3. Burnes is hitting his spots. That’s an excellent sign.
  4. Not disagreeing or being disagreeable. Just a note to say the top three payrolls in MLB are not going to the playoffs.
  5. I guess Joey's in the lineup to kill that bumblebee at home plate he's been swinging at all year.
  6. I'm guessing Winker is in for pinch hitting. I just checked his stats. He's hitting .417 as a pinch hitter. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/players/2044492/jesse-winker/splits/
  7. Pfaadt is a rookie with a 5.72 ERA. We need to get some bats on balls early!
  8. Miley can step up. A big game will not phase him.
  9. I agree with this. A manager of course needs to know his stuff and make good decisions, but the most important asset of a team manager in most professional organizations is leadership -- can you create an atmosphere where players buy in to the plan and to winning.
  10. The man is net worth 20 billion. It wouldn't surprise me if he said, Get all three if you think they'll help us win.
  11. It's a real art trying to figure out lineups. How long does a manager allow a player to pull himself out of a slump, or to find his control? Some of us have pulled our hair out here with CC's decisions about players like Wiemer, Winker, and Chafin', but in the end, he we are, in a great spot to make a run. Then there's player evaluation, trades, the draft, the farm system, etc. CC appears to be pretty good at all this. It's not just about buying players, but it helps when the GM and manager have a good feel about who will be the right players. They didn't get it right every time, but enough to build a really good team.
  12. "a few extra million bucks" Is a lot of money. I hope he stays, but MA will need to fork up a few extra million. He's earned it. He's as important to the team's success as any player.
  13. If Brewer Fanatic wasn't available during the game, did the game really happen?
  14. Lauer sent to the ACL Brewers to try again to travel the long road back.
