Not to get into it, but part of the reason is the current political situation. It will be interesting to compare the viewership to the Super Bowl, which was around 128 million viewers.

I would have had more respect for Greg if he just said he wanted to make more money, instead of the nonsense he was throwing out and expecting us to believe. Loyalty is a little bit of a thing, but it goes both ways. We can't have loyalty to players who don't perform well if we intend to win. We may have contract obligations though.

My only contribution to the board about the game last night is that I loved Gimenez' 7th inning AB. He fouled off a few, waited for a good pitch, shortened his swing, and put the ball in play for a base hit. Ortiz could have had so much more success doing that instead of swinging for the fences every time.

There are some elements of loyalty, but in the end, people have almost always gone where they are paid more money. They should go where they are paid more money because they've earned it.

The consensus is that the Brewers should think of Wild Bill as their potential long term catcher. How can anyone disagree with that? He calls a great game, often hits well, and is a true team leader in the clubhouse. And yet Jeferson Quero might be a superstar. I hope he's the backup starting in 2026. (I hope there's a season in 2026). Then we'll know what we have. If Quero produces like he's expected to, is he the better long term player behind the plate?

He has a $20 million mutual option with a $10 million buyout. I agree the Brewers should. The question is whether Big Woo will take it. I expect he'll get a better offer elsewhere, maybe a substantially better offer.

Yep. It's a game seven. The threat has to end there. You can worry about later innings later. A lot of people are dragging Dan Wilson pretty hard. Bazardo has been great for them all year. Yes, Springer had seen Bazardo a couple of times and that would be helpful to him. In hindsight, Munoz would been the better choice. I agree that Munoz would probably have been Murphy's choice. But baseball. An inch here and an inch there, and a great decision is a bad decision. The bottom line is Bazardo's sinker didn't sink. It floated in the middle of the plate like it was set on a T. And that was that.

The Blue Jays have some very good hitters. I'm very interested to see how they stack up against the starting four of LA.

I would say no. Regular Season Devin is pretty good, but Playoff Devin has been less successful, although the same could be said for almost our entire hitting lineup.

Given how well Murph managed the team, I don't want to second guess too much. But pItch around the guy and walk him? Or just send him to first. Either way, don't let him beat you with the long ball.

Really. He hit 20 home runs but his batting average is .200. Also, the Pirates control him until 2028.
