  1. Starting playoff games is really really tough. Not a lot of pitchers do it well.
  2. You call the infield fly rule if a player can catch it and drop it on purpose. Wasn't the case here.
  3. Who cares what the cubs yammer on about.
  4. I hope we see the Mighty Seafarers in the Big Dance.
  5. Let's hope he brings more to the plate than Perk. Maybe Perk comes in late for defense if it's close.
  6. Just win tonight. Put this thing to bed.
  7. Whichever way the wind blows, there you will find Michael Ray Wilbon.
  8. Let's say he does. He's still had a heckuva year.
  9. He has. Brewers need to do their thing, Keep the line moving.
  10. You've made up an entire scenario in your head without facts. There are several criteria for selecting playoff umpires. You can look it up. Unions are good.
  11. I have had personal experience with the weauxf gods, so I'll keep my gloating to myself for the moment. But I will say I have enjoyed glancing at the cubs message board too.
  12. That young man was amped! (All the way to 11.) So amped he couldn’t throw a curve. But that didn’t matter so long as he was throwing enough strikes at 100+.
  13. I’m glad Ashby held up too. He was a workhorse.
  14. It amazes me that people are second-guessing Murphy when we have a 2-0 lead on the Cubs, the team people were agonizing about a week ago. It was a great plan to start Ashby. The start of the second game on Monday night was a nerve-racking proposition for any pitcher. So why not go with someone who’s been very good in tough situations down the stretch. But even Ashby felt the pressure and was not his best. Fortunately our hitters got some pitches to hit and did not miss. Ifs don’t matter. You can if any scenario. They are not reality. The fact is we had a great game. That’s the reality. I’m sure Greg wishes Murph had done things differently.
  15. That's who I'm thinking. As I recall, he pitched well against us in Chicago last time.
