    Imanaga had a good outing the last time he faced the crew. He gave up 2 runs on three hits through 7 innings. We'll need to be better if he throws tomorrow.

    Monday's game is a must-win for the cubs. If you go won 0-2 in a 5 game series, you are in serious trouble. Expect everything Coun$ell can throw at us.

    I agree. But I think as a rule a small market team must trade contract year talent for control over long term prospects.

    Not every good player. Just excellent players in the final years of their contract. Yeah, it would be great to have them for another year, but if you target 2025 as the year you can realistically make it to the World Series, you make the decisions that will get you there and give you the best chance to win. We don't have $300 million plus to spend.
