Seems like a reasonable list (although I always worry about moving a popular clubhouse presence like Sal during the season). I'm still thinking (maybe foolishly) that we will make a big enough move that it will include at least one prospect (that will "hurt") that's not on this list.

I know it's probably emotions taking over rather than in depth thinking, but adding Skubal would be awesome as a fan. I remember back to the half season of Sabathia and am excited about that type of energy playing out again. (I guess Mason Miller would create a similar "buzz") 1. Skubal - Can it happen with Jett W (instead of Pena), Gasser (instead of Henderson), Adams? 2. Joe Ryan - Still a playoff game #2 pitcher with an additional year of control. 3. Adrian Morejon I don't know if there is an available bat that fits and makes enough of a difference.

And Ryan helped last night with making himself available. His 4 innings, 8 runs allowed on 6 home runs led to the Twins losing and dropping a little farther out of the playoff chase. In all seriousness, Ryan is my top choice as well for a starter at the deadline.

You do this Ryan trade immediately if for some reason the Twins would go for it. As others have said, I think it takes one headliner better than Quero to make it happen. What would the additional players have to be if Pena replaced Quero in this deal?

So does this mean that McCullers is going to the pen or that he will start a game in the Mets series? A little surprised that they didn't wait to add him until after the weekend (to keep the extra bullpen arm for the Marlins series) if he is going to start next week.

Agreed. I think Ryan would be my first choice of a move. Is it possible to get him without giving up Made & Pena? (I would like to think so with the overall talent of our minor league system)
