  1. Another one that felt like you had no business winning. Keep stacking them up
  2. It's time. If they don't want to bring Lara up for the fear that he will sit too much, bring up Leonard for his shot before Lockridge comes back. Play him in LF against LHP and as a pinch hit option off the bench. If he shows something...great. If not, you still have the blue chip guys to try later in the year.
  3. I think the Baddoo reinstatement news from Sunday makes a Rengifo DFA more likely. Now if the decision is to add Williams, Leonard, or Lara, you need a 40-man spot available beyond just a 26-man spot. It will now take more than sending Perkins, Ortiz, or Hamilton down to Nashville.
  4. Huge to win the first game of the series. Coming in I would have been ok with 1 of 3, but now lets win another series vs a playoff team.
  5. With Henderson gutting out a good job to start the game and Patrick finishing things off impressively, I think Patrick has his role moving forward for awhile.
  6. Ok. Which of you is tempting fate by even posting this statement on the MLBTraderumors chat? atleastwetried 2:15 Feel like Chafin will be a Brewer with the Zerpa news and no real idea if Koenig will be back.
  7. With two 40-man spots soon to be open (Jones DFA and Zerpa to 60-day IL), how much longer until a minor league hitter snags one of them and gets the call up? (Jett Williams, Eddys Leonard, Luis Lara)
  8. 15-12 with returning players combating the tough scheduled opponents.
  9. With Leonard playing primarily in the OF at Nashville this season, I wonder what he is like defensively on the dirt? Would his defense be similar to Rengifo at 3B and/or Hamilton at SS? If the defense is passable, I think he is the filler until Pratt shows a little more at the plate in AAA. Hope to catch lightning in a bottle and that his minor league numbers translate to his first big league call up. We do have an open spot on the 40-man... correct?
  10. I can understand this logic, but if that is the case then it is time to try Eddys Leonard. He's been playing LF a lot for Nashville. Can play the IF too to add to the versatility. Has some pop in the bat (3 HR's in the last two days) with decent HR numbers last year in AAA as well.
  11. Thought Mitchell got enough. Now Greg Jones to be the hero (or not)
  12. I understand the team's position of utilizing the available playing time while Chourio, Vaughn, & Yelich are away for guys like Matos and Jones to get a gauge their usefulness while allowing players like Luis Lara to get regular at bats in AAA. Is it time to do similar in the infield? Eddys Leonard is at .288/.358/.525 in Nashville with a history of playing all infield positions along with all three outfield spots in the minors. I say it's time to bring him up and throw him into the mix to check his usefulness as well . Bring up Leonard and Black...send down Perkins and DFA one of Matos or Jones.
  13. Agreed that we will probably see Tyler Black soon, but I wonder about the second part of the sentence. Am I correct that Perkins has options remaining and could simply be sent down to make the Black transaction happen easily? But I believe the other two are out of options so they would risk losing either one of them if they are involved in bringing Black up. (I think I would be ok with that risk at this point as it would create an open 40-man spot for a possible later move)
