  1. Huge to win the first game of the series. Coming in I would have been ok with 1 of 3, but now lets win another series vs a playoff team.
  2. With Henderson gutting out a good job to start the game and Patrick finishing things off impressively, I think Patrick has his role moving forward for awhile.
  3. Ok. Which of you is tempting fate by even posting this statement on the MLBTraderumors chat? atleastwetried 2:15 Feel like Chafin will be a Brewer with the Zerpa news and no real idea if Koenig will be back.
  4. With two 40-man spots soon to be open (Jones DFA and Zerpa to 60-day IL), how much longer until a minor league hitter snags one of them and gets the call up? (Jett Williams, Eddys Leonard, Luis Lara)
  5. 15-12 with returning players combating the tough scheduled opponents.
  6. With Leonard playing primarily in the OF at Nashville this season, I wonder what he is like defensively on the dirt? Would his defense be similar to Rengifo at 3B and/or Hamilton at SS? If the defense is passable, I think he is the filler until Pratt shows a little more at the plate in AAA. Hope to catch lightning in a bottle and that his minor league numbers translate to his first big league call up. We do have an open spot on the 40-man... correct?
  7. I can understand this logic, but if that is the case then it is time to try Eddys Leonard. He's been playing LF a lot for Nashville. Can play the IF too to add to the versatility. Has some pop in the bat (3 HR's in the last two days) with decent HR numbers last year in AAA as well.
  8. Thought Mitchell got enough. Now Greg Jones to be the hero (or not)
  9. I understand the team's position of utilizing the available playing time while Chourio, Vaughn, & Yelich are away for guys like Matos and Jones to get a gauge their usefulness while allowing players like Luis Lara to get regular at bats in AAA. Is it time to do similar in the infield? Eddys Leonard is at .288/.358/.525 in Nashville with a history of playing all infield positions along with all three outfield spots in the minors. I say it's time to bring him up and throw him into the mix to check his usefulness as well . Bring up Leonard and Black...send down Perkins and DFA one of Matos or Jones.
  10. Agreed that we will probably see Tyler Black soon, but I wonder about the second part of the sentence. Am I correct that Perkins has options remaining and could simply be sent down to make the Black transaction happen easily? But I believe the other two are out of options so they would risk losing either one of them if they are involved in bringing Black up. (I think I would be ok with that risk at this point as it would create an open 40-man spot for a possible later move)
  11. Did Frelick just grab at his back again after that hit?
  12. El Gary doesn't get paid to run. Big opportunity missed after the 3 walks
  13. In honor of Crow's great debut...Everybody do the Bird! https://tenor.com/view/morris-day-bird-gif-9781223
  14. I never get tired of saying, "A very Brewers inning." (Although my family may be getting tired of me saying it. 😀)
  15. I came to bring up this point exactly. I was surprised the move to open the 40-man spot was moving Zas to the 60-day IL when they have shown no interest in giving Matos a shot (even against LHP when we are struggling with our other options). Just 10 plate appearances so far. I would roll the dice on DFA for Matos (hoping we can keep him in AAA due to his pedigree) and add someone like Eddys Leonard who can play multiple positions (including some recent action at 1B for Nashville).
  16. No minor league options remaining. So short term is a replacement on the roster for Quero?
  17. 89-73, good enough to get into the playoffs MVP: William Contreras CY: Kyle Harrison ROY: Brandon Sproat Surprising player: Mitchell stays healthy enough to put up decent numbers in CF. Don't know if it counts as a surprise, but Bauers continues to hit and thus continues to find spots in the lineup Disappointment: Koenig regresses but Zerpa picks up the slack so that few notice
