  1. Ted Davis is awesome as he combines a very original sense of humor with slightly over the top, in your face play by play calling
  2. Guess who they are. Silent but Deadly: Roy Halladay and 10 MLB Players Quietly On Fire http://bleacherreport.com/articles/425781-silent-but-deadly-roy-halladay-and-10-mlb-players-quietly-on-fire#page/1
  3. Suppan: 7 innings, 7 hits, 2 walks, 5 K's, 1 run Brewers win 5-2. No homers for the brewers. Kendall and Weeks are the offensive MVP's.
  4. Thanks. Yeah, Cardinals have to be frusterated (who wouldn't be) but, a fist pump after getting the biggest out of the game so far? Come on, Cards. We can't be expected to censor our emotions just because you feel bad.
  5. What happened at the end of the 7th? Jim Powell said there was some kind of tiff going on with Prince and Pujols after Carlos coaxed the popup to end the inning. But then it went to commercial.
  6. I don't think I've ever seen a catcher get tossed from behind the plate.
  7. "But Shousey's a pretty safe call" Not today.
  8. I think Ned should have kept Suppan in for one more batter. But Shousey's a pretty safe call.
  9. Hey! Heck of a slow motion dive by Fielder. I know I keep making fun of his athleticism, but I love the guy.
  10. Yeah he was flying. A better Dunn throw = bye bye Bako
  11. Agreed, Schlitz. Hardy's just gotta get on base for me. Any extra power numbers are nice bonuses for the defensively reliable Hardy.
  12. Sounds like some boo-birds for Jenks.
  13. Scoring two runs does you no good if you give up 1.
  14. I think it was right to let Cappellan to bat. Why? He was pitching well. There's not some robotic rule where you MUST pinch hit for relief pitchers. If you do, than you might as well program a computer to do the managing for you.
  15. Yep, Weeks, Fielder, Hall that sounds about right.
  16. Cubs 4 Reds 1 I'm cool with that. Okay, let's get another solo home run..
  17. This is one of these innings where Powell doesn't really focus on the game, but just rambles about the Miller Park Roof. C'mon Bush
  18. Hopefully Bush does what Cappy did last night by buckling down after a shaky start and allowing some scratching and clawing by the Brewer offense. Last night's game was pretty great. I was pretty angry for most of it as the was a lot of red in my section and the crew were behind the whole time. . .but the eighth and nineth were fantastic. I'm still hoarse.
  19. It alright, Billy. Why does Telemundo have to have such bad reception on my TV? No golf swing K's geoff.
  20. Well, this is about par for the course.
  21. I seem to remember that a few times in the last two years that brewers would excitingly sweep a team only to come back to get swept in the next series. Let's hope the pattern doesn't continue. I hate Maddux. He's too good. Its kind of like Joachim Noah.
  22. I'll be at the game tonite, probably in the field bleachers and after a generous helping of brats and high life in the parking lot. I always happen to see cappy when I go to MP, and he usually pitches well when I'm there. Don't know much about this Davies kid, but here are a few tidbits: First inning era in 2005: 7.71(12ER/14IP) Rest of innings: 3.82 But I guess he only gave up three hits in his last outing against the Mets. In a complete game. Looking at mlb.com highlights, it looks like he peaks out at about 93MPH, and when he's on he deals some nasty hooking/sinking/breaking stuff. The strikouts where either close call ones on the corners of the looking variety, or batters swinging at slop including high fastballs. Hopefully Prince can be patient against him. Alas, this mini-scouting report was based on about 16 strikeout pitches, so. . .whatever. Anyhow, let's hope the crew can get a quick lead in the first inning and that Cappy can pitch solidly and hold on and turn it over to Wise then T-bow for a 3-2 victory. That's my prediction. No homers for the crew. Jones hits a two run homer. If you're watching on TV, I will be the naked guy sliding into home plate in the fourth inninghttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
