  1. I was just using facts to make a point that Turnbow had a bad outing. I'm more a believer in results that you are I guess. You seem to put more of a premium on aesthetics.
  2. Turnbow does not have phenomenal stuff. His fastball is very fast, but very, very straight. His slide can be nasty at times, but it's inconsistent at best. Cordero's stuff blows Turnbow's stuff away. I think many people overestimate the "head-case" stuff with Turnbow, he just isn't that good. He's an average setup guy.
  3. Turnbow allowed an inherited runner to score, he got two outs and allowed 2 hits and a walk. That's a pretty bad outing for your main setup guy.
  4. I can't imagine a manager mis-handling a bullpen more than Ned Yost does for the Brewers. Ned has a lot of redeeming qualities as a manager, but he fails IMO in bullpen administration.
  5. Turnbow's straight fastball is much easier for most hitters to handle low in the zone rather up in the zone.
  6. vs. RHP 1. Weeks 2. Hardy 3. Fielder 4. Braun 5. Jenkins 6. Hall 7. Estrada/Miller 8. Hart (Gross/Gwynn each 1 start out of every 6 RHP) 9. SP vs. LHP 1. Weeks 2. Hardy 3. Fielder 4. Braun 5. Hall 6. Mench 7. Hart 8. Miller/Estrada 9. SP
  7. Bobskube, Everyone who reads this board knows of your disdain for Hall. Why do you feel the need to repeat yourself time and time again? It's overkill.
  8. Roadhouse "pain don't hurt"
  9. Derrick Turnbow is meat when he doesn't throw his curve ball for strikes. Why they kept him out there when he wasn't even willing to try to throw it is beyond me.
  10. JM Gold was the Brewers' top draft pick (out of HS I believe) back in the late 90's (IIRC). He blew out his arm and never pitched in Milwaukee.
  11. My favorite unintentional comedy moment of this night: Daron was discussing the Glover-Obermueller situation and who should start...he said "you know, Steve Yoing was Joe Montana's caddie for several years, and he's going to the hall of fame" So apparently, Glover is Joe Montana and Wes is Steve Young. I'd say it's more like Gary is Randy Wright to Wes's Anthony Dilweg.
  12. This "aggressive" baseball is giving Brewer fans fits. Brady Clark is not a base stealer Nedley!
