  1. Molitor parking lot was better this year then ever before for Opening Day, though of course there's still tons of room for improvement. We were in the front row and the Port-o-Johns there were in a row of 4 where in years past it's always just been a pair of them. Looking back in the lot it didn't look like there were any/many more than usual though.
  2. If you want the full Opening Day "Party" experience I suggest the "Molitor" General parking lot beyond the underpass. If you want a more tame experience any of the preferred lots are for you. Like others have stated, buying parking in advance is crucial. Guarantees you won't be left out of the lot and you'll save $6/$11 on general/preferred.
  3. If you enjoy drinking you'll have an absolute blast. Opening Day is referred to as "Christmas in April" in our 20-pack ticket group and we regard it as what should be a national holiday. Like everyone else stated, if you go the tailgating route - get there early. We typically get there 5.5 hours before first pitch and we have to wait in line for 30-60 minutes before they even open the gates (once traffic backs up to the freeway and creates hazards basically) And like Bikeage said, it's likely you'll get heckled by at least a few drunken college kids; but for the most part it's a joyous occasion and most people are pleasant. If you want to enjoy a peaceful, uninterrupted, game I'd recommend going to the second game as well if possible. We usually like to try and go to both (when it's not during the week like this) to be able to party for one game and then thoroughly enjoy the game the next.
  4. I just about had a heart attack when I read that. Before you retweet something as newsworthy as that, don't you think, at the very least, Tom would check to see if Ken Rosenthal had more than 110 followers?
  5. Sounds like Cornwell is setting the stage for the relevation that there is absolutely no evidence that they used him as a consultant....
  6. I don't really see where he was "acting childish" and I certainly don't see a single case of "name-calling" from his end. He simply told you to chill out a little bit about a ceramic bobblehead toy that shouldn't be life/death; and I'd have to agree...
  7. I couldn't agree more; he's 25 years old and even his minor league stats were never that mind-blowing. I'm much more excited to have Segura than I would be if we had gotten Bourjos.
  8. I'm really surprised he was left out there against a HR threat like Morrison, but let's be honest - we don't have a single bullpen pitcher with an ERA under 4.25. He pitched a helluva game and deserved a chance to finish 7.
  9. Not even a mound visit yet for Johnson. What a nightmare of an inning for him -- very tight zone and a bunch of flares/seeing-eye singles
  10. First or second pitch GIDP for Cesar? ETA: I will now refrain from making fun of Izturis for at least the next 48 hours.
  11. Did anyone else just see Gomez signal "1 out" after he made the catch for the second out?
  12. My parents are at the game and that's what they suspected. Said CPR was being performed on a person in the bullpen.
  13. Get Morgan off this team at this point. I just have too much fun watching Gomez and Aoki play
  14. I just rewound back to the ending and that fan definitely made it to the pileup. He was jumping around with the team for a good while until two security guards tackled him. That was awesome.
  15. What a terrible no-hitter. 5 walks and a hit that was ruled foul. Anything to demoralize the Cardinals is fine by me though.
