  1. Good point, but wouldn't pitch-outs help prevent those?
  2. A 21 foot wall? That's no fun, no gloves over the wall catch/hr plays.
  3. Why don't teams pitch-out anymore? Seems like you never see that today.
  4. It's a great question. It makes no sense and they do it every time. IMHO, throwing to first is actually a good thing for the home team. The pitcher burns half his disengagements (and nobody uses their 2nd), so now it's easier for the runner to steal. They should cheer, not boo.
  5. Cubs, for sure, right? It helps us both ways: we get closer to a bye and it increases our chances of meeting a Cubs team with no closer, a bleeding bullpen and inconsistent starters in the NLDS.
  6. That's a pet peeve of mine, too. The Brewers aren't up 3 on the Dodgers. We're up 2.5, but everybody always adds an entire game to the lead (we'd lose, not tie, if the Dodgers go +3 games on us).
  7. Whoa, that IS big. If the Phillies were down to 2 quality starters, both having pitched in the WC round, maybe taking them on in an NLDS wouldn't be so bad.
  8. Which gives us the two greatest things in baseball life: a bye and not having to face the Dodgers until the NLCS.
  9. I've got that game on split screen, a crazy 55 points scored at HALFTIME. Unfortunately, the Bears are up 7, but it's been a pretty fun game. Caleb Williams vs Bryce Young.
  10. That's for Gorman Thomas the board poster, who you can tell is a good guy.
