  1. So does this make Hughes expendable while his value is down.
  2. For the record I did not say I wanted Derrek Lee, I just dont think Melvin has much trust in Gamel. I think he will sign the best one available(not named Fielder)
  3. OF-----Hart,Gomez,Morgan,Gamel,Gindel- I think when Braun comes back, Gindel will be sent down. I dont think they will sign Akoi IF------Derrek Lee, Weeks,Gonzalez,Ramirez,Itztuis,Ishikawa--- Yes I think we will sign Lee to a similar deal to Gonzalez C----- Lucroy,Kotteras SP---Gallardo,Grienke,Marcum,Narveson,Estradra or Parra----I think Wolf gets traded for a couple decent relievers RP----Axford,K-Rod(although I could see him getting traded too)Veras,Loe,Braddock,Kintzler,Parra or Estrada
  4. Lets sign JD Drew. Could play him in left.
  5. The answer is so obvious----- Ryan must have shook hands with Russell Braynan transmitting an unbeleliveable amount of testrone hense not testing positive for a PED. No blue intended.
  6. Lets look at the rest of our roster. I think it is a high possiblity that we trade Wolf., He is coming off a decent year, I think he has thrown 200+ innings the last few years. I am not saying we are going to get much but he could be our salary relief.
  7. I have probally said it 10 times before. I would love to see M innie Monoso make it in. My vote goes to Raines,Bagwell, and Larkin.
  8. I get why he said both Barmes and Pena. Looking at free agent first baseman the only real names that stand out to me are Derrek Lee, Carlos Pena, and Mike Cuddyer.(Besisde Fielder and Pujols) . Of them Lee and Cuddyer are right handed. I would guess the Brewers are looking for a left handed bat and while Pena is not a great hitter he can walk(106bb's last year) and he does have power. It would seem to be that he would be better in each catagorie than Lee oe Cuddyer. We could look at comeback year from Adam Dunn, and should be able to pick him up somewhat cheap depending how much of his salary we would have to pay but the question really would be is he going to bounce back?To me the best answer would be to move Hart to 1st(if he can handle the move) and to put Gamel in the outfileld and sign someone like Scott Hairston to platoon . but then we could have three platoon situations(CF,3rd,RF) Barmes may hit a little worse than Yuni B but the whole reason we would pick him up is for his D.
  9. I think it would have been great if Jim Gantner would have been throwing to Joaquin Andujar. Then when Andujar gives the ball back to Gumby he pops him one in the nose.
  10. I want a Nolan Ryan rematch
  11. I have tried everything. I have been up & down my entire life. 180 out of high school, 235 in college, by the end of college 167, got married and had a child(290), started an exercise routine(245), moved and jobless(290), had some chest problems which led me to really exercise(205), job issues(250), other issues(290). Now I am around 235. Everytime I lost the weight I said I will never let my self get out of shape again. I no longer say that. When I exercised and dieted I would push to an extreme and would lose a big amount of weight in a matter of months. I have read and tried many things from Body for Life to the Atkins. My favorite by far would be the 7 pillars of health which includes drinking water, sleep, moderate exercise, & stress reduction. I use to freak out if I missed a workout or ate something that was bad for me. While I am working at being thinner, I am pretty content with the shape I am in. I play basketball once a week with guys 15 years younger than me, I ran 2 5k's and a 10k this year, looking at maybe one more this year. I dont do these things because I am good at them ,most the things I am below average at. I do them because I have the ablity to do them. I would rather fail than always wonder how I would have done. My routine includes a walk in the morning if time allows. Anywhere from 3000 to 4000 steps at my target heartrate. Otherwise I put 20 to 30 minutes in on the exercise bike. I try to do the same thing on my lunch hour. And 5 to 10 minutes of weights in the evening. I will bike to work(only a mile or so) if time allows. My breakfast would be an egg, yogurt, and a banana, an apple for mid morning snack. Lunch would be a spinich salad with chicken, grapes and a fiber bar. Maybe some strawberries for a late afternoon snack. Dinner is what ever my wife makes. It can be something good for me but maybe not. My big downfalls are candy & pizza. I think I will always need to watch my weight but I dont feel obcessed about it.
  12. Just guessing here---Trevor Plouffe. Can play 3rd ,can play short, not much of a bat, has some power, better D than what we are running out there right now, great arm, could take over for Counsell, should not cost a lot.
  13. I am all about having K-Rod close. He is on my fantasy team. I need the saves. So Doug give him 17.5 million for next year. Make a middle age man in central Wisconsin happy.
  14. Just released, I know he is not hitting good right now but might be a better option than Kotsay. they both play the same positions(LF,RF,1B). He hits lefties at a good clip. Of course they could just release Kotsay and keep Gamel up too.
