  1. What game are you having a problem with, if you want Huntsville I was able to just go to the Huntsville web site and the box score comes right up, and gameday link is just above box score, I am able to listen to the game with the Chag. radio site (better sound) and watch gameday play by play.
  2. DHonks What state are you located? It would be a fun road trip....
  3. "Are Jones and Rogers both healthy enough to start the season? Wouldnt it be nice if both had injury free seasons? I'd like to see them move Jones to the bullpen right away. " Well I don't know about Rogers and only heard that Jones is healthy and finished '08 pain free. Made every start and every appearance required, while starting the season with less than a year off Tommy John. (broke camp with ony 9 months off surgery). Well with another contract in hand Jones will have to make a team out of spring training so: Here's to you Jones, if any one can do it - my money is with you!
  4. Mike Jones is living his dream. For any of us who wake up every day and say I wish I had....let's at least give him credit for not quiting. Although most everyone has written him off except the Brewers, he keeps competing. Numbers can all be explained or exploited, yeah his stats look questionable, what isn't; is Jonesy's heart. He gives the Brewers and his teammates everything he has; if that doesn't get him to the Bigs so be it, but it won't be because he didn't try. Haudricourt wakes up everyday for him and only him. If it wasn't for the misfortune of athletes and the irony of life Tom wouldn't have anything to write about. Some how he feels his opinions matter, he gets paid for them, so this may be his validation for stating them, heaven forbid he find and say something positive. A half empty kinda guy!
  5. Jonesy and Rogers are doing well. Jonesy started his throwing program on Monday and comments were made he didn't miss a beat, he look like he hasn't had a moment of down time! Rogers is a solid athlete, working hard to regain his form. Another year and here we are hoping for great new season. Can't imagine what the the guys must be going thru!
  6. Mothership...I am with you. I have my hopes up! I am actually looking forward to spring training. I understand Mike has been working out hard and feels good. In my opinion half of Mike would be good enough. I don't think he would be happy though unless he was lights out! Good luck Mike Jones huge fan in AZ
  7. FYI 9/1/2006 Stars' Late Season Roster Changes The Milwaukee Brewers have promoted catcher JC Boscan and pitcher Luther Hackman from Huntsville to triple-A Nashville and promoted catcher Carlos Corporan and pitcher Mike Jones from high class-A Brevard County to Huntsville. Jones and Corporan are expected to be in uniform for the Stars? game Friday night against the Barons. Boscan had been with the Stars all season as the backup catcher and leaves after batting .194 with no home runs and 14 runs batted in over 124 at-bats. He appeared in 43 games, including 36 as a starter. Hackman allowed only one earned run over 13 2/3 innings covering eight appearances in relief since joining the team on August 11. The former major leaguer struck out 15, did not walk a batter and earned wins in three of his first five outings. Corporan was batting .270 with three home runs and 38 runs driven in over 86 games, including 53 behind the plate. Jones, the Brewers? first round draft choice in 2001, made 13 starts and six appearances in relief, going 0-2 with a 2.80 earned run average. He struck out 30, walked 27 and allowed 45 hits over 54 2/3 innings of work. Jones started 23 games for the Stars in 2003 and 2004, going a combined 8-6 with a 2.74 ERA in 121 1/3 innings.
  8. Jones goes three 3 scoreless innings with only one hit and a strike out. ERA continues to drop and on a 45 pitch count is facing only 11 and 12 batters a game. Sounds like control may be on it's way back. Rumor has it Mike threw 92 and 93 tonight consistantly. I am affraid to get excited but this is really good news. Could it be all the hard work is paying off? Good Luck, Mike!
