  1. Dont leave out the switch from the AL to the NL and what kind of styles each league has compared to the each other
  2. I gotta say i think alot of the problems so far is the pitching staff missing on the pitches that Kendall calls... How often is our SP gettin hammered cuz they cant keep the ball down... When a pitcher pitches high in the zone do we blame Kendall or do we blame the pitcher???
  3. Im guessing if we decide to move Prince its gonna be NY coming in and offering Hughes, Kennedy/Brackman and 2 High prospects...
  4. I think Kendall needs to be in their as many games as he wants as hes the perfect 9 hitter as he takes alot of pitches draws walks and hardly hits into DPs.. Hes been around and knows most the hitters in both leagues and calls very good games so i would take his leadership any time over a young stud whos just breaking into the big leagues....
  5. Have to say i think DM is in Nashville for a couple of reasons 1 he wants to talk to Kremblas and see what ideas he has for the big league club and what to do to motivate some of the players 2 he wants a upclose look at three of his power hitting lefthanders Branyan, Nelson and Nix as ne knows he needs to find some more power from the left side and fill some backup spots 3rd base for one and OF.. 3 Im wondering if Boston is asking for Gabe K in trade for Julian Tavarez since he is a huge hit in Boston and DM did inquire about JT.. If that happened i could See DM bring 2 of the 3 up to help give the O a boost.. IMO i would do Branyan and Nix with Gwynn back to AAA
  6. (BIG---BIG) IF Dunn would wave his no-trade clause i could live with Braun at 3rd base for the rest of the season and let Dunn walk for 2 high draft picks... Hall is a pull hitter whos gonna have a ton of Ks,low BA,low OBP and 60-75 RBIs a year cuz he refuses to use rightfield... But its all a dream as Melvin will no way be able to pull this kind of deal off from Cincy.... Always nice to have dreams though
  7. IMO i would look at Nelson and Nix as the two who could get a look at coming up and giving support to Mil in Boston... Nix has all the tools to be a stud but has never been able to stay healthy and play steady but if u want someone to play D and steal some bases he has all the tools to do it... Nelson has been battling injuries the last couple of years and is finally back to his old self and producing which raises his value for Melvin as he knows he needs to find a lefthanded bat or two that can hit for some power and Nelson has that...
  8. Im wondering if we could see Nelson brought up to be the DH during the Boston series as he woud give the team a second LH power hitter who still has options.. IF they did that then Gywnn would prob be the odd man out.. But i do think CV MP and DB all get one more start before any changes are made and i do think CV and DB are the ones who go down in the long run as MP is the only lefty in the rotation right now...
  9. What i dont like about this team right now is every power hitter we have is trying to hit a HR every time up to bat... How many times do these players take outside pitches and ground out to 3rd or SS?? Hall and Hart need to start taking those outside pitches to RF
  10. I think he needs to work on becoming a better D OF and being able to play at AA will give him that knowing hes gonna get plenty of coaching and get about 500-600 ABs.. Besides doesnt AA seem to have better pitching prospects in that league then AAA has??Why the push to move him from AA??? Do we have a starting spot for him right now in Milwaukee???? Do u know of a injury to one of our starting OFs that would justify calling him up now??? Why move him to AAA right now and let him play for a very bad AAA team besides i think AAA has some solid OFs already Nelson(1.028 OPS), Irabarren (.738 OPS), Nix (.853 OPS) and Katin (.783 OPS)?? Where would he find ABs with those guys?? What is needed is some help in the IF SS and 2nd look to be very week IMO and i dont think LaPorta is a middle IF JJFanec why would u want him in Milwaukee next year?? U Dont think he could make the jump from AA to Milwaukee??
  11. True ace pitchers are hard to come by.. IMO the best ace type pitcher we could get cheap is Harden but he scares me more then Sheets... (Gamel & Jackson type deal) But it all depends what type of pitcher we want... Burnett is one i have liked for a long time but hes just like Sheets injury prone lately and when hes healthy hes a stud... (Gamel and Jeffress) The second pitcher i like is Zito.. Guy can pitch but he has no run support behind him in SF but SF would have to pay 1/2 salary for the rest of the contract but i dont see them moving him... (Gamel, Iribarron and Anundsen type deal) Third pitcher i like is J Sanchez in SF hard throwing LHP who gets alot of Ks but needs some work on his secondary pitches to be a Ace type which i could see down the road.. (Iribarron and Bryson)
  12. Why keep moving him up and making a bigger log jam along the way right now their is no need for him to be in AAA or Milwaukee now or early next year... What i want to see him do is kill AA all year and be league MVP.. Why move him up and start his arby years when we have enough OFs right now??? Give him time to grow and continue to learn how to play OF his bat will bring him to Milwaukee soon enough but i still want him to work on learning to play above average OF... Why the push is my concern to move him?? Then if we have to move him now im all for rushing all our first round picks in the coming draft to the 25 man active roster right away!!!!
  13. Im thinking CV, Z Jackson, M Gamel and J Jefferess could be a starting point as Houston is gonna wanna ton from any team within the division...
  14. Gotta say i would love to see LaPorta play a full year at one level as of this moment we are in no need of him at AAA or on the MLB roster as both rosters are full right now of OFs.. IMO i wanna see him at AA this year 1/3 at AAA next year and then 2/3 Milwaukee...
  15. I gotta say i think this was a move to open spots up on the 40.. Guess a few teams had been after Gross from ST on and Melvin finally got something offered he liked... Gross seemed to be getting better the more he played but for some reason Hart Braun and MC will be the starters all year it looks like... Gotta say i think Gwynn is more of a bench type of player this year as he gonna be used as a PH, PR and defensive replacements on double switches.. Gross i just can see him being that kind of player a guy who can settle in and be that kind of guy IMO he seemed like a guy who wanted to be a starter from day one and never given that chance.... How many 40 man spots we have open now??
